They have 28 made baskets, but only off 7 assists.

Team basketball = over rated.

7 assists with 4 white guys on your team is indeed few.

It might be overrated a bit, but only because to true team ball isn't seen that much. Team ball takes everyone on the team playing at a high level everygame, it's just hard to keep up. Therefore the superstar "mode" type play takes over.

So far in the East, based on what I have seen/expect from teams these are the teams I see at the top, in no particular order: Chicago, Miami, New York, Indiana, Orlando and Boston. I don't think the Hawks are going to have a good year, in fact I think they could end up missing the playoffs. Mediocre starting lineup + old bench + 66 game schedule is a spell for disaster. I also don't really like Philly and Milwuakee for the playoffs in the east. For me it will be interesting to see who claims those last 2 spots.

Really think that Indiana has a lot of pieces to make some buz. I like what they've done and how they looked today. Chicago and Miami will be the elite but 3-6 is all up in the air. Would be nice to see Indiana up there. Orlando and Boston, with this schedule, are prime for some loosing and lower seeds.

curry is dialed in tonight. he is winning the pg matchup vs rose.

b3w, i agree about the hawks. i predicted them to miss the playoffs. of course i have been predicting their demise for 2 seasons. but i really believe it this year. they have an unproven pg with no depth behind teague until hinrich gets back mid season. they lost crawford who was better than jj last year, imo. and their bench is old. the only thing that can save them will be marvin playing like a #2 pick or the weight loss of smith helping him have a career year.

I love what I'm seeing from Rubio so far. Dude's playmaking is ridiculous.

Teams I'm paying attention to this year:
T-Wolves: what a weird medley of talent, Rubio (is for real)

Warriors: Mark Jackson's debut, love watching Monta.

Wizards: Don't have to see those ugly gold unis anymore, Singleton, Wall, Vasely, and McGee = fun to watch.

Kings: They're gonna surprise people. Not surprised at all that they handled the Lakers. Cousins and Hickson is a nice frontline, the Jimmer, and Marcus Thornton gets buckets.

Yeah, Lakers are hurting without Bynum. I've started calling them the "Indiana Lakers" since they have Artest, McRoberts, and Troy Murphy all playing major minutes for them.

I will say though, they could have done a lot worse in replacing Odom with McRob, I think he and Kobe will gel really well. Their backcourt is just awful now though, DFish is way past it, Blake is inconsistent and Goudelock is a rookie obviously.

I know it's only a couple of games into the season but the Heat look all business.

No over the top celebrating, seem to be switched on every play at both ends of the court, looking to get out and run transitioning from defense to offense in the blink of an eye, totally switched on.

It's a little scary.

Yeah it doesn't bode well for the rest of the league.

Having Haslem all year will give them that bit of extra grunt too.

Norris Cole is one lucky SOB to be playing on that team.

what about wes johnson made him a top 5 pick? i dont get it. in fact, i dont think i get the entire twolves team outside of love and maybe rubio. none of them look like they have a clue. they better hope that derrick williams is a star or else love is surely gone first chance he gets.

the twolves are atrocious. there is no way we finish with a worse record than them.
#kneejerk

then again, adelman is an offensive genius and they didnt really have a training camp to get his system down. maybe it takes them a month or so to really gel on offense. or maybe it will take him a year to get some players that better fit his system.

beasley needs to go. give his minutes to williams right away.
ridnour needs to go, give his minutes to rubio
johnson needs to come off the bench. he is not ready to be a starter.

I've always thought Wallace and Felton would benefit from a fast-paced offense all of those years when they were with the Bobcats. It's funny how that both somehow ended up on an even slower-paced Blazers team, while we've ratcheted it up a notch.
