6 years ?? I don't even think these two will even agree to play in Toronto and besides they can't even dominate much smaller college players. People are down on barnes for not putting crazy state and dominating, but I don't see Perry or Drummand dominating at all ... hell Barnes who is on much deeper team is playing way better and putting up better state then both of them. As right now Drummand and Perry are all hype...

Lmao we will still retain their rights... they aren't going to play in the nba if they don't report to the team that drafted them. Your insane if you think rookies in this day and age are going to dictate where they play, that is David Stern's level your effing with.

The Steve Francis incident really got into Saciid's head lol.

Lol you guys don't hold back on the projections do you?

I've been following college ball for a very long time and let me tell you that Drummond is not a special C prospect.

Barnes on the other hand is a special shooter, and when you look at our future with Val, Davis, ___ , Demar, ___ we don't have many of those.

I'll say this about Harrison Barnes: I think he'll be one of the few prospects who will help us win games next season if that is our goal for 2012 (Jeremy Lamb being the other). Maybe, it's because I absolutely love watching him shoot the ball (awesome looking shot), but this is a guy who will make shots and defend right when he steps foot into the NBA.

I don't know, I don't want to write him off yet, simply because he seems like a very intelligent guy who will maximize every ounce of talent he has. And plus, I still believe he can used a lot better than he has been at UNC. Barnes will be good, maybe not a star, but he'll be a very good 2-way player imo.

Yeah, Harrison Barnes' jumpshot is a thing of beauty to watch and that release is silky smooth. The only thing that irks me is that Barnes can't create off the dribble nor create for his teammates. I'm okay with not being able to do one of those, but he's incapable of both. More then anything else, the Raptors need a wing player that can pass the damn ball and create for their teammates on the fly or off the dribble.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

if we can somehow miraculously get Deron Williams offseason :o  then barnes at the 3 is going to be amazing, they don't need him to create for others, it will belong to DWill's job 8-) ...yeah wishful thinking.

Had Vancouver picked Odom who knows how good they would have been or even if they would have even moved to Memphis .. anyway all I'm saying is Drummand and Perry are all hype right now, and they have done nothing special at the college level to deserve the hype.

If we win the lottery I want us to trade down like ( 2006 when I wanted Rudy Gay ) if not then draft Antony Davis, but for the Raps it's between two players Barnes Harrison and Jeremy Lamb ... Harrison being the first choice and jeremy Lamb second choice .. With Barnes Harrison we are getting a healthy Danny Granger with great attitude and great defensive potential ..at worst Loul Deng. With Jeremy Lamb you looking at Kevin Martin type of player ... pure go to scorer ...

Right now it looks to me like if the Raps want a wing they have to go with Jeremy Lamb. He's everything we need at the wing spot, except he's only listed at 6'5" which could be a problem if true.

Horrible SF height imo. Better suited as a two guard. But Lamb makes up for the lack of height with his wingspan. If our draft pick was between the two, I'd go Barnes.

Yeah, no doubt about the height issue. I love EVERYTHING about Harrison's game except for his shot creating ability. I just feel like with DeMar and Harrison locking down the wing spots for years to come we would absolutely have to keep Jose or acquire a point guard who is a passer first, second, third and then a scorer fourth. I know it's a pipe dream but a guy like Rubio would be amazing if we were to draft Harrison in order to build for the future.

The other problem is, even if you have an amazing passing point guard what do you do when you face the really good defensive teams? They can easily lock down your offense if everything is run through 1 guy. Just look at Chicago last season with Derrick Rose. Sure, you have the MVP and he has off the chart creation ability, but he had no one to help him create. I just feel like in every winning offense you need at least 2 guys who can create off the dribble, or an absolutely dominant big man.

My pick has been Barnes the whole time... but Derozan and Jeremy lamb would be amazing. Jeremy Lab a player who plays great in half court and can create his own shot and Derozan who is a terrific transition player.

Barnes makes sense if we had Lamb instead of DeRozan but of course we don't.

The playmaking ability (and passing) would be horrendous....that combination = the Raptors becoming the Atlanta Hawks 2.0; as usual I say NO THANKS!

This is my guy hands down. If DeRozan has improved that shot then this is his ideal pairing. A billionaire James Johnson.
