Oklahoma City Thunder @ Memphis Grizzlies 12/28/2011

Interesting rematch from the playoffs last season. Rudy Gay is back in the lineup now, but the Grizzlies lack front court depth with Darrell Arthur out. They've got Dante Cunningham and Brian Skinner playing meaningful front court minutes.

Will be a tough game on the road but winnable. Serge has to start getting his head right on the court...

I'll just post what I put on the general board

I'm pretty sure that memphis is going to DESTROY us tonight. It's their home opener, they just came off a terrible loss, and they want revenge for us beating them in the playoffs

Memphis wins by 18 in a game that was never close

I think we win this game by 5 or so points. The guys will be fired up for this one IMO.

This game is ugly as hell and early foul trouble has OKC in deep.

Perkins and Thabo with a combined 17 points. Interesting.

Damn, Russ has started the season in a nasty funk.

I'm guessing many of you agree with me, but I'm impressed at how **** moronic Brooks is when it comes to PG play. WTF is he thinking? Harden should play 38+ minutes and be the primary ballhandler. That is especially true when Maynor is on the floor.

I'm a Bucks fan, but Brooks pisses me off more than any other coach in the league.

Note to Russell Westbrick when you are 0-12 stop shooting the ball and look for the pass, when your off your off. I still think OKC needs a pure point guard and will never be a championship calibur team with Westbrick as the starting point guard.

I don't know why OKC didn't bid for Chris Paul, I feel OKC could of pulled off the trade if they got invovled in the sweepstakes earlier.

Brooks is soft and young. If it was Larry Brown Westbrick would be in his warmups, actually he would of learned how to pass the ball by now and became or at least transitiong into becoming a pass first point guard.

Someone needs to check Westbrick for real, giving him the max is gonna leave you guys stuck... watch.

How is Russell any different from Franchise, Marbury, etc. Shoot first point guards don't lead teams to championships.

with that said Kevin Durant is as clutch as it gets and is probably the best player in the NBA.

Very good win tonight considering all the things that we had going against us I posted earlier. Westbrook played the worst game of his career AND we still win? I'll take it

Sadly I have to agree with you.
It even makes it much worse, that Westbrook can NOT shoot the ball. But is still forcing those long jumpers.
Im sure he's a good guy and everything and tries to do his best, but his IQ is simply way too low.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we are here we might as well dance!

I mean, Westbrook got some good looks, and he'd normally make at least a few of those, but he does need to stop settling for long jumpers. Mostly I think we're just mis-using him. He's at his best when he can make a quick move, catch his defender off-guard, and slice to the basket, not when he slowly isolates.

I'm actually not that angry at Westbrook's shot selection tonight. Almost all of his shots were wide open or decent looks, he just couldn't get anything to go through the basket. His decision making hasn't been too good so far this year though

Got to give him credit to hit those dagger free throws, especially after you've had your worst game of your career
