GM a Team: Twenty Twelve Edition - Trades

Post#1 » by -Kees- » Wed Dec 28, 2011 1:05 am

Trading will be automatically approved, unless I or another person sees a flaw with a trade and posts about it.

Under Lux Tax:

Teams can acquire up to the lesser of 150 percent plus $100,000, or 100 percent plus $5 million of the salaries they trade away.

Over Lux Tax:

Teams can acquire no more than 125 percent plus $100,000 of the salaries they trade away.

All parties must accept any trade, and all parties must stay within 12-15 player limits, unless during off-season.

Under Cap:

Can take in as much as they want, as long as they stay under the cap.

Please number the trades!

NOH and PHI have a trade to announce.

NOH outgoing:
Emeka Okafor $12,492,500
Trevor Ariza $6,790,640
DeMar DeRozan $2,625,000
total: $21,908,140

PHI outgoing:
Andre Iguodala $13,531,750
Louis Williams $5,176,000
total: $18,707,750

Iggy is the best perimeter defender in the league and a damn good play-maker and rebounder for his position. I think this will be his break out year. Williams is a spark off the bench.

Greivis Vasquez $1,113,600
DaJuan Summers $854,389

Lawson is an up and coming PG that had a huge (just one game but still) first game of the season. I like him to replace Paul, hopefully long term. We load up on the wings as well.

Denver accepts. We really hate to lose a young PG with Ty Lawson's skillset, we are in win-now mode and are in love with the asset mix ($21+ million expirings and a future #1 pick) we ended up with here. Fantastic dealing Hornets.

Trade denied. Denver has about 59M in payroll, so taking on the 9.4M here would be illegal. Please rework the deal and repost, or post that you cancel the deal. Thanks.

Philly accept. We feel it was time for Iggy to move on. Ariza is a very servicable wing and we really like DDs upside. We believe he will compliment Jrue well in the backcourt. Okafors defence is very welcome. Good dealing

Trade#4: Washington Wizards and Denver Nuggets

Washington Wizards send:
Ronny Turiaf

Total: $4,360,000

Denver Nuggets send:
Kosta Koufos
DeMarre Carroll
+$762,195 Cash

Total: $2,965,987

We give up a talented backup but gain a prospect center who put up great numbers in limited minutes. We're rebuilding, so Turiaf isn't in our future. We also shave off a couple million in salaries.

Denver accepts. We welcome Ronny to the team and look forward to his hustle and team play coming off the bench. Good deal.

As a side note, this brings our expiring contracts total to about $35 million. any team with quality players who are in rebuilding mode should inquire about this and our 7 or 8 1st round picks...

Trade #5

The Charlotte Bobcats and Chicago Bulls have agreed to the following.

The Bulls will send: Kyle Korver [5.0 Million], Ronnie Brewer [4,710,000], their 2012 1st Round Pick
Total: 9,710,000

The Bobcats will send: Corey Maggete [10,262,069], DJ White [2,001,167]
Total: 12,263,631

9.710 x 1.50 = 14.5 Deal works.

We're rebuilding, so Mags didn't fit in our plans. Nice dealing Chicago!

Carroll makes 762,195 according to hoopshype. He was signed by Atlanta to a one year deal, and he's like a two year veteran, so I figure that's correct. Where did you get that figure? Either way, both should work under the 150% rule. We'll follow your offici ruling.

And yeah, the included cash was just for me to buy him out, since a straight Turiaf for Koufos wouldn't work. It wasn't for salaries purposes.

Ok, cool, just clarifying. It looked a bit funny to me, but I think i just read it wrong. Thanks for clarification.

Washington and Atlanta have agreed to a trade

Josh Smith ($12,400,000)
2012 1st (lotto protected)

for

Andray Blatche ($6,442,083)
Javale Mcgee ($2,462,400)
Jordan Crawford ($1,120,440)

Total = $10,024,923 - Washington has the cap space to take on the extra salary

Hawks do this deal to finally get a true C next to Horford, as well as some talented young pieces in Blatche and Crawford. Smith and Horford just weren't working out together, and we believe McGee is a better long term fit for the team

#7: SAS and ATL have a trade to announce:

To San Antonio:

Joe Johnson ($18,038,573)
Andray Blatche ($6,442,083)

Total: 24,480,656

To Atlanta:

Tim Duncan ($21,164,619)
Kwahi Leonard ($1,731,960)

Total: 22,896,579

Close enough, deal works.

SA accepts. It's hard to trade Duncan, and we thank him for all his contributions, but it was time. JJ is a legit top 5 SG in this league, and is excellent at creating his own shot. Blatche is so underrated on realgm. He has good size (6'11) is still fairly young (25) and averaged 17/8 last year, including 24/10 in April. Some people say this guy is overpaid, but he is on a reasonable deal for his talent.

#8

LAL Receives
DJ Augustin 3,236,470

Total $3,236,470

CHA Receives
Luke Walton $5,800,000
Derrick Caracter $788,872
DAL 2012 1st

Total: $6,588,872

*CHA is under cap to take additional salary.

Accept. A young PG who can pass, score, shoot the 3? Exactly what we need. Augustin should fit in really well.

NOH and BOS have a trade to announce.

NOH outgoing:
Louis Williams $5,176,000
Eric Gordon $3,831,184
Mozgov $2,566,800
total: $11,573,984

BOS outgoing:
Rajon Rondo $10,045,455
Sasha Pavlovic $1,223,166
Greg Stiemsma $762,195
total: $12,030,816

Rondo is elite. I am doing it different this time, building a young team around elite defense and good passing. Rondo can control a game on both ends without scoring a point. We are sad to see Gordon (and eventually Lawson) go...
