Clock it: Deron Williams
You can put a clock to this: Deron Williams will be a mad man in a few short weeks if his team can only muster what they mustered tonight. He won't ask for a trade, but his patience for losing is very low. There were a couple of times tonight where he just looked so underwhelmed by his teammates. If NJ doesn't get Dwight this season, or a promise from Dwight right out of the free agency gate this summer, Deron will be gone to Dallas, LA, or ?

I'll just say this: His starting five in Beşiktaş was better than the one he had last night.
"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious."

Adding Dwight to New Jersey will be like putting a band-aid on an gash a few inches deep. It won't do a whole lot.

I disagree. I think it would do a ton. They'd instantly become a top five team in the East.

I've been watching Dwight more this season (yes, it is a small sample size) and the more i find myself dissatisfied with his game. Much of his scoring comes from being 5 feet away from the basket and has a few moves to shake the defender. If this doesn't work he either ends up getting fouled or missing the shot completely. Defensively he looks good. But not great. He clogs up the lane and has one hell of a reach. But a few smart passes down low is all you need to get Dwight off of his feet in order to score a basket down low.
As far as the trade itself goes, New Jersey is going to have to give up a good amount of talent in order to acquire Dwight. Morrow, Lopez, 1st round picks, Humphries are all options that i see the Magic looking to acquire (I could be wrong, i'm not good at trades.) So, after all is said and done what do you have? You have Dwight and Williams. I think their talents would compliment quite well and i think they would get along off the court. But as far as i can see, New Jersey's lineup with a hypothetical Dwight Howard is looking pretty thin.
