Simple trade. Solomon Alabi to the Spurs for Cory Joseph. Bring the Cdn kid home.

We've got 3 Pg's already, I don't see the need. If it's just for the sake of bringing in a Canadian, there are plenty of them right now in NCAA, and we should be able to draft a Canadian over the next few years.

What do you guys think of a Jose Calderon to Utah for Devin Harris trade? Both have pretty much similar contracts, but Devin is 1.5 years younger and suits our run and gun style more, while Jose may suit Utah's slower more drawn out style

I wish. I think they wouldn't do that trade.

I think we need to look at shortening Calderons contract through a trade (for an expiring perhaps) or just suck it up and use amnesty on him.

I like the draft this year for a PG. Maybe trade our pick (protected) for Knight.

Bailing on Barney

Yes, he has shown some promise the first couple of games.
The Raptors do this to clear cap space for the summer and get another pick in a stacked draft.

Raptors trade: Bayless, Bargnani

Suns trade: Nash, unprotected 2012 1st round pick

Downside is the Raptors could potentially get Nash for free next summer.
Upside is that additional draft pick, and Ed Davis gets more playing time.

Bayless, Barbosa, Ed Davis, Alabi, and 2012 1st round pick and conditional 2014 1st for Wall, Crawford, Trevor Booker, and Turiaf.

Explanation: I personally think that helps both teams not sure if Washington would do it but are getting a lot back in that trade could add Blatche and Bargnani from both teams.

Toronto Lineup:
J.Wall/Calderon/Carter
DeRozan/Crawford
Butler/J.Johnson/Forbes/Kleiza
Bargnani/Booker
A.Johnson/Magloire/Gray/Turiaf

Washington Lineup:
Bayless/S.Mack
Young/Barbosa/Mason Jr.
Singleton/Vesley/Evans
Lewis/Blatche/Seraphin
McGee/Ndiaye/Alabi

They have 2 first round picks next year we have John Wall and Valancinuas to look forward too without losing that much. We look to build something great like a younger boston big 4 without a ray allen.

Wall = Rondo
DeRozan = Pierce
Bargnani = Garnett
Valanciunas and Ray are the odd stars we don't have the same. I'm not SAYING these players play alike or are alike I'm just saying big 4 wise that looks nice. Plus we can add a pick somehow and/or a signing for next year.

Washington draft lets say 2nd and 4th. With the 2nd pick they choose A.Davis and the 4th pick either J.Lamb or Barnes and play either at sg then they're team is nice, just would need to add a piece and they would be contending for years. They would also have our 2014 1st also.

Raptors list of rookies should be PJ3, Lillard, Rivers, Waiters, or Harkless.
I say draft Lillard, Waiters, or Harkless.

I know the salaries don't match straight up but Iv been thinking for some time a trade revolving around Amir / Bledsoe might make sense for both teams.

God, our fan base is delusional with at least 90% of these trades.

Wiz will not trade John Wall...not for our entire team.

D.J Augustin has been playing well, and with Kemba waiting for more PT I think we could swing a deal

Barbosa + Bayless + Cash

for

Augustin and filler

DJ/Jose
Demar
JJ/1st round pick
Bargs/Ed
JV/Amir

Wall, in my eyes, is a virtually impossible trade target. The Wizards are young and they are bad, I see no reason why they would change course.

If we're going to try to trade for a young PG, I think Rondo and Steph Curry have to be the two main targets. The Warriors want to win, and they do have one perimeter star already in Ellis. They've been desperate for a star big for a while, so if we could get them Bogut, Barbosa and Bayless, for example, they might be willing to listen. The Celtics, on the other hand, are a bit harder to figure out. They would probably look for a similar package, and they do seem to be at least somewhat willing to trade Rondo.

^^ I would add Westbrook and Deron to that list of potential PG targets as well, depending on how the situation goes with their teams this year (if, for instance, Dwight gets traded somewhere else and it's clear that Deron won't be staying on a bottom-feeding NJ team, we *might* be able to land him if we look good enough this year...likewise if Westbrook doesn't look like the right fit at PG for the Thunder and they won't want to extend him on a max contract, that opens up the door to potentially trade for him). We could potentially try to deal for other less proven young PGs like Holiday, Lawson, and Jennings, although I wouldn't give up nearly as much as I would for those other guys.

Whatever the trade is, as long as we end up with Jonas, DeMar, one of Bargs/Ed, and a longterm core piece at PG (Curry, Rondo, Westbrook, Deron, etc.) I think we're in a very good position.

as much as i'd love to get Curry, Rondo, Deron, or Westbrook...

lets be honest here, we don't have the trade power to pick up any of those guys. Our only chance would be free agency and I doubt those players come to play here unless we have a proven winner built.

I think our shot at a good PG can only come from the draft, or by taking a shot at a young borderline star like DJ Augustine or Branden Jennings and hoping that they grow into a prime PG

Still want to see us trade Amir for Mayo. I remain convinced that OJ would break out in the right situation. Even more interesting... it would open up the possibility of moving DeMar for a stud PG.

As crazy as that is, I actually believe it as well. Mayo has more natural ability and skill than DeRozan.

I'm not a Amir hater...I like the guy but I see him as a PF off the bench...like Ronny Turiaf who can come in and give you hustle, rebounds, toughness and defense. A type of guy that every good team should have and can back up either frontcourt position properly. But if that is his role...then I believe he's overpaid slightly.

Back to Mayo though, I don't know if they're interested in adding more salary to the books but I'd deal either Bayless or the TPE to Memphis for him if they want (preferably the TPE though) if Memphis is trying to cut salary or if they want Amir I'd consider it. Mayo has been disappointing so far but I think if he's given the opportunity to be the Man on the team or at least a second option, he could explode.

Not a knock on DeRozan though, He's one hell of a player. But I would take a cheap chance at Mayo for sure.

Amir for Mayo? Bayless for Augustine? Gross. The latter one is less gross but Augustine is still a backup...Bayless at least has more potential and natural ability than DJ.

Even if you really like Mayo (I don't because he's a streaky shooting tweener), why would you give a player of value for a player whose value is at rock bottom? If you offered MEM Amir for Mayo do you know how fast they'd accept? They'd just waiting for someone to come in and overpay for Mayo. He's certainly not better than DD either.

This is a thought NJ needs to get Dwight and Orlando wants veterans for him.
This deal would go down just before the trade deal line.

Toronto trades Bargs & Brabosa gets Okur, Ryan, & Hmphries plus NJ 1st and 2nd and Orlando's 1st.

Orlando gets Bargs, Barbosa, Lopez

NJ gets Dwight

Not sure if NJ can trade a 1st.

The Raptors would truly suck but all are expiring that we recieve back.
NJ will be bad and likely at worst a high lottery.
Orlando's pick no worse than 20 to 24.

We would definitely get top 3 plus 2 more plus 2 2nd rounders.
This should elate the tankers.
Please note I'm a huge Bargs fan.

Well I guess we'd have a deal then.

I like DeRozan like I said. But Mayo has natural ability and talent and I'm so sure anymore than Amir is worth the money he got signed for. Like I said he has a Turiaf-type game, looks like he'd be a successful Turiaf-type player so he should get Turiaf-type money. Maybe a three team deal that sends Amir to Memphis, Mayo to Indiana and Indiana's pick to us? That's great value for Amir I think...perhaps I'm underrating him.
