So I put that trade I proposed earlier into NBA 2k, and then traded Baby/Sefolosha for Ariza and then moved Dudu and Harper to the Cavs for Daniel Gibson and a 2nd. Leaving us with this line up:

Westbrook/Gibson
JRich/Redick/Wafer
Ariza/QRich/Earl
Gasol/Anderson/Collison
Perkins/Orton

We ended winning 54 games and won the championship. Ironically we played the Thunder in the Finals.

Like I said, only warned by Magic Mods. I am not a Magic hater, i dont think along those terms of basketball and sports. Im a player fan, no just VC, dwight, love, but from players from every team. I dont hate Magic as a franchise. I hate the organization and certain players. Ive said since the beginning, Magic will not win anything with a PG like Nelson. Otis dooms the team. I speak out. I am not a Nets hater. I enjoyed watching the nets during the Vince & Kidd days. Like I said, Nets won't win anything with Deron and the team they have. Avery dooms that team and their new owner won't be nothing like the Devos. Nets could be the worst team in the league this year with their "Superstar". Worse than Cleveland and Minnesota with their "superstar". I am just being real like that. But, more importantly to this discussion board.

You are lucky the Mods here on the Magic board are lenient. If I posted this on the Nets board, I would be banned from RealGM. Just being real.

Jameer would not get worked by Jeff Teague like Deron did. Deron is a great player, but no Superstar. Dwight is in for a big surprise if he goes to the Nets because there are no Garauntee's he will win anything with Deron, their coaches, players or ownership. Magic can always be a top 4 seed and could still contend for a Ship within 2-3 years garaunteed.

Otis doesn't have the balls or mindset to try and pull a trade with OKC. Dwight would be in the mix for championships for years and years to come. OKC will have the power to bring in another superstar if they wanted as well.

If Orlando wants a mix of veterans and young talent, Westbrook, Thabo and Perk would be a very good start, and a draft pick. They gotta take Hedo too.

Wow, we don't need to blame OTIS for EVERYTHING!

ANYWAY, to the topic, i don't think its a trade we do or should make. Westbrook is good, he's an all-star, but he's just the new Marbury, Steve Francis etc. I don't know if our roster has enough about it to keep his ego in check. if we could work out a deal where we keep Nelson OR Anderson then id do it:

Nelson+2012 unprotected 1st 2014 top 10 protected

Anderson/Duhon/Harper+picks (as above)

Westbrook is a very good, and don't get me wrong i would love to see him on our team but its a gamble. is it one we should take? MAYBE if the deals above are on the table we HAVE to take them (his value is low right now). If it isn't, the deal would HAVE to be:

Westbrook/Harden for Jameer/Anderson (picks as negotiated)

only way Harden is changed for role players is IF DWIGHT PUSHES FOR IT!

OKC: Jameer + Anderson
NJ: Westbrook
ORL: Deron

If Dwight pushes Deron to come join him in Orlando this could be just the deal to get it done for NJ.

Otherwise we bypass NJ and go straight for a Nelson/Anderson swap for Westbrook and filler.

IMO, the biggest concern is someone like the Suns swooping in and offering something like Nash for Westbrook. Gives the Thunder a better chance at competing in the short term, but it's a risk that Nash might leave or might not have long enough in him to justify giving up Westbrook.
