Nice to know I can truly be lazy this year on game threads but then troubling to know that I can't decide to half ass one when I decide to do one.

I don't think they have a choice, their roster is quite literally crap.

Hawks win comfortably, it won't be by 40 this time but it will be a cruise at the end. And then the real season starts tomorrow in Houston.

This is the second of a back to back for the Nets a mediocre team who we beat by 36 just 3 days ago. I don;t think they'll put up a real fight.

Al has started the second half dominating the post that they are double teaming him but too bad his aggression has led to fouls.

Teague has confidence on 1,000,000,000,000,000 but Humphries has to be checked.

I expected an easier game, I wanted an easier game. But I give the Nets more credit for playing up to the Hawks who had to be a little lackluster after blasting this team in Jersey. The defense was a little too relaxed tonight and that can't happen tomorrow night in Houston or we will experience our 1st L of the year. Horford and Josh can get a little more active on the back boards also. Yeah, but it's early.

We actually played a good game but NJ shot like crazy in the 3rd - just when I thought they were ready to run out of gas. I think they shot something like 7 out of 12 from 3 in that quarter. Drew was substituting as if he expected them to slow down in the 3rd. He might have been right if they weren't just so unconscious from 3 in that span. They threw up some terrible shots from 3 -- and when Sheldon Williams makes a desperation shot from almost 3, you know NJ owns the horseshoe.

The way they were shooting in the 3rd and only missing one FT the entire game, we did well to take the win. If we could act like professionals on FTs ... and focus (grrr) .... this game would have been a laugher.

HOU is getting blown out - they'll substitute and be fresh for tomorrow.

I'll take the W. Not as much motivation in this one but it's understandable. Now, it's time to prepare for things to get more difficult.
