Pitt looked pretty bad in the preseason, he is not in NBA shape.

pitt is not hurt, he's just trash. an overweight bigs who has never dominated at any level. dude was playing 20 mins a night in college. the beat writers are saying that curry is already in better shape.

Also, battier has a good 3-ball, it'll come around.

But Center... dear god.

I'd even give Gladness a shot.

Yeah and to think we wanted Billups here. Guess our PG situation is set for the next 4 years till we have to resign them. Focus at C next offseason.

He's aware of it too. Tweeted tonight that his new year's resolution is to hit a shot. PEACE.

I have a hard time believing that either curry or pitt will actually contribute for us this year..

This is my first post in this forum... but I have been reading it for a loooong time. A long before Rubio´s arrival, maybe even before you simply consider to be a Heat fan.

I have never considered the option of going further than read and take your point of view if the NBA in general and the spanish players in particular.

But today after 5-6 or 7 post from you I cannot keep quiet.

Firstly I would recommend you to study some geography... Spain is in Europe (yes , there is more countries than USA and the sorrounders), Mexico is in center America and one of the most famous dishes is "burrito". To be honest I have no idea if Ricky have never taste it...

If you consider that Rubio´s game is not enough for NBA level, i respect it. If you also think that cole has much more future than Rubio I also respect it. But please try to be as fair as you can and please find a better Nickname ...

Both of them did a great job today. Rubio had created huge expectations during the last 4 years due to his quick development (I could see him with 15 years old controlling a game in the Spanish league and also doing a great job agains Kidd , CP3 , LBJ, Wade and so on...), We dont know if he will continue improving or he will be no more than a good PG but he have aimed some respect.

On the other hand Cole looks like great in the last two games but as you can easily understand he has to continue like this for a while in order to get the same respect or create the same expectations than the spanish.

Both Cole and Rubio joined this league at the same time. Their body of work is the same, so BOTH have to maintain this level of play to gain respect. Rubio's euroleague play doesn't matter a lick here. It's all about what have you done for me lately. Both are off to a great start though.

Also, Rubio's is apparently a popular burrito bar in some parts of the country:

Hence the nickname, Burrito Boy. He'll get a better one when the media slaps one on him. PEACE.

Battier looks a littel better on defense lastnite. He still quite bit lost on the rotations. Battier offense will improve, even thou he never really been great offensively.

I havent had too much complaints about our offense, except I get frustrated that we do not exploit Bosh's mismatches. I never see us go to Bosh in the low post when he has the size advantage. I would like to see us consciously feed Bosh in the low post (not 20 feet out) against players like Beasley, Williams and Love. He would absolutely kill them in the low post. I know its early in the season, and Spo is still in preseason form trying and working on different lineups. But i would like sometime in the future that we game plan as such in exploiting matchups, instead of just freestyling.

This kid Coles so encourage that he continues to improve and while being a consistant reliable player.

It will be sad if Dexter Pittman has hit some wall with his weight. Still having my fingers cross that he gets back on track to improve. And Eddy Curry hopefully as well he continues to get that weight and conditioning in place so he and Pittman can be solid contributors in the second half of the year.

I love how great Cole's been for our team. What a great pick. Championship teams need those contributors from their picks.

  Then the only thing that can do is to apolligize... I didnt know about the burrito bar :(... Sorry about it.

On the other hand.. you are right, both joined the ligue at the same time .. but due to different reasons Rubio was more "known" that Cole... NBA fans have been listening about Ricky during a long time creating extra expectations. Cole was drafted in a no so good position and clearly he is been a big and good surprise. But it is normal that the cameras are still a little bit more focus on Rubio.

If both continue like this they will be in the ROY race and will have a "profitable" future...

Happy with the win obviously, but not happy with the P&R defense! To many wide open 3 point shots, hedging to hard, making us have to rotate to the shooters.

Same thing happened against Charlotte.

And Boston. And Mavs.

It wouldn't be so bad if they missed the 3's. Spo would rather protect the paint which I don't blame him. But the teams always make miracle shots against the Heat :|

Its very hard to protect the paint and the perimeter at the same time. And remember Lebron and Wade scrabble a lot to help protect the paint and rebound. Thats the negative about Joel, he doesnt rebound and doesnt take up space in the paint defensively. So our perimeter defenders have to help in the paint as well as on the perimeter. Until we can find a legit center who can be a decent rebounder, our perimter defenders can focus more on defending the perimeter. Plus Battier hasnt gotten a hold of the defensive rotation yet, as the season goes we will improve on defense.
