The only thing that's held Bynum back when it comes to these types of numbers is touches. I can't even remember the last time he had 18 FG attempts in a game.

2011 season: 9.4 TRBpg in 27.8 minutes. You can go away now.

how am I cherry picking stats? The other poster gave me a 35 game sample size and I gave him 2 seasons where he was awful on the glass. He's never averaged 10 rebounds in a season when he's played 45 games and in 4 of the 5 he came nowhere close. One season where he didn't average 10 rebounds a game isn't gonna make me say a career 7 rpg player is a great rebounder. I don't think he can average 10 a game because he's never done it and I don't think he has the want to do it even though he's got the talent. It's that simple

Yes, because they were won by Kobe and Pau. Replace Bynum with any average center in the NBA and they still win them.

Since then, though, Bynum has more than surpassed Pau.

Please GTFO. It's possible we squeak by Orlando without him (although his being in the game even for limited stretches allowed Gasol to match up on Lewis) but Drew was huge for LA during the 2010 title run. He did a lot of things that didn't show up in the box score.

Kobe should probably hold back more, it's not like his scoring his that efficient nowadays. Playing like the way he did today, he didn't shoot too hot but even on a bad night where the ball slides off his arm for turnovers and the he bricks a bit, he still managed 1 ast away from a triple double. The game is just easier for him if he relaxes gunning the ball a bit and becomes a facilitator.

Well, at least you can see the talent is there. Some people won't even acknowledge that much.

Of course he's incredibly talented and athletic. He just can't stay on his feet for a whole season. Maybe he should take a trip to Germany.

Oh come on. Coming from a Lakers fan.. We wouldn't have won one of those Championships if Drew wasn't there. Not having him was the difference in the 2008 Finals as well. Many players on the Celtics even said it.

You're cherry picking because you completely ignore his performance on the glass last season in which he averaged more boards in fewer minutes played.

The two biggest reasons why he's never been a 10 TRBpg player is because his minutes were limited with Lamar on the roster and because Gasol and Odom were both terrific rebounders. You really don't know what you're talking about.

Bynum isn't talented at all. He's just bigger than the players he's faced against. It's just laughable that some people here think Bynum is better than Howard. If Bynum is so good and better than Howard, then every LA fan should just stop all the BS and keep Bynum for themselves. Keep Him and feel good about yourselves. We don't need your feedback on how Bynum is so better than Howard.

I'm giving credit where credit is due. The people who think that Bynum isn't a good player today and that this was just a fluke performance are delusional.

Wow I love it, people trying to go at me and THE TRUTH. This is priceless. Bynum's got talented, easily not a Top 2 C in the league (Howard and Bogut in that order) but people are acting like he's a true go-to option right now

That's crazy, I'll repeat what everyone who watched the game will admit to. He was being guarded by MOZGOV and HARRINGTON.

Bynum will come back to earth by the end of the week.

Both you guys should just stop. LA is like the least team to worry about one guy avg 10+ rbds. I said it on the other page, when your whole damn team has a monster front court, he doesn't need to try to get 20 rbds a game. Someone else always has his back. Saying he doesn't have the talent to do it is really ignorant though.

You're really not when you downplay his contributions during LA's title runs, especially 2010.

He was not nearly as important in that title run as Kobe and Pau were.

Yes Father!

Gasol was on Harrington, and Harrington was on Gasol.

Nene and Mozgov took turns and even are double teaming Bynum.

Check your DVR, or watch the highlights Father.

We wouldn't have beaten Boston without him, even with his reduced minutes and with him injured.
