he's a banger stuck in a SF's body, his perimeter game is his biggest weakness yet getting to the rim is his biggest strength.. weird.

[quote="Dr Mufasa"]Just watch. I wish there were Vegas odds on draft picks cause I'd lay money on the athletic/defensive big men projects making the leap every year. TT wasn't lotto a month before the draft and a 7 foot TT is an entirely different animal. Lot of teams like Detroit, Sac, Cleveland, New Orleans with one of their 2 picks, maybe Washington after another year of McGee's failure, have young perimeter players but need a franchise 7 footer and would go the upside center route after the first 2 picks methinks

I think the biggest thing hurting Leonard's hype is he's a goofy looking white kid. Otherwise he's getting called Tyson Chandler 2

[quote]

whose to say he even declares for the draft? there is potential, but I think you are way off here.
as for TT, he was a highly touted recruit to Texas and was always a first rounder and I'm fairly certain he was easily in the lottery, months before the draft

The problem I have with Andre Drummond... is he's exactly the type that would be pissed to get drafted by us and would leave ASAP. Hell Drummond might be one of the few prospects who's such a bitch that he'd take the QO after his rookie deal just to leave here.

And if he stays... he's still a project who might not be good... who might not want to play physical or defensively.

I'd rather have Derrick Favors than Demarcus Cousins...

My guy is Jeremy Lamb... love Demar but he's just not dynamic enough off the dribble. He's a shooter. Rip or JRich career... if he's fortunate

Lamb can be a franchise wing
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

what's also weird is that he has a solid shooting form yet he can't get the shot in, he also plays bigger than his 6'6 or 6'7 size too, he and demar has literally the same size yet MKG plays like a SF but demar doesn't :-?

From what i've heard drummond has a high character personality, a humble kid with a very class act, he didn't take the scholarship from his teammate and he didn't even tell the media about it instead he did it privately. I don't think he has ego like a steve francis type, I also hear that he's an energized guy in the locker room, always cheering for his teammates and having a positive attitude toward his peers.

I have no problem with Drummond, Davis, MKG or Barnes. PJIII, Lamb or Miller wouldn't be bad consolations either...

I also wonder where that Drummond character observation came from? As noted he gave up his scholarship and took out a loan to help a teammate from being screwed over by classic Jim Calhoun. Calhoun is an absolutely brilliant coach, but he is total scum.

As for Meyers Leonard, he also had a late growth spurt a la Anthony Davis (except it was a year later into his development). So he is only learning to be a big man as a soph, while he has retained most of his atleticism.

T Jones should've come out last year and be a higher pick. Same with Sullinger and Perry. I know they will all be drafted you T Jones stock will probably drop like Willie Warren's did. He's not a very important piece on that stacked team.

MKG's skillset also overlaps with his and doesn't allow him as big a role on the team

We really need two top 15 picks in this draft. Would any decent team take Barbosa?

not for a top 15 pick in this draft, unless if we trade him to a contender that seriously underperforms, or if we take back some bad contracts. We could probably grab a pick in the 20's for him though.

I would look to move DD if we dont get one of the top 2 picks in the draft.

I would love to leave the draft with MKG + Lamb or Beal

Then look to move ED (or Bargs) + future first for a young pg.

PG
Lamb
MKG
Bargs/Ed/Amir

If we landed in the Top 2 we could take:

Drummond with our pick
Deal Ed for Miller
Deal Barbosa to a contender for a pick and take Wroten or Ross

The problem comes if we fall outside of the Top 2. Then I'm not sure who we'd take. Lamb is pretty intriguing and so is Beal for the SG position, if we take a big then 2 of our bigs would need to be traded and the PGs aren't until later in the draft.

In any scenario, I'm pretty sure that we should be able to snag a late pick. Barbosa to Memphis, OKC, Boston or the Bulls should yield a pick around #20-25. Also, I'd try and find a taker for Bargnani for a pick as well. Maybe the Bucks? Now that they have an amnesty clause, they can rid themselves of Gooden and start Bargs and give him a bulk of the minutes beside a stud C in Bogut...they could use his scoring.

With the new CBA ppl are going to be less likely to give up their picks because - well - they're cheap. Plus I have this fear we just miss the playoffs because there are so many other teams that just look bad or dysfunctional.

We can still get a good draft pick no matter what but we might get a Lamb but it may not be Jeremy for instance.

I don't know how people think Lamb is a franchise player. His first step is average and he's primarily a jump shooter. Get Anthony Davis and Shabazz Muhammad in next years draft.

the term franchise player gets overused so much that it's lost all meaning.

One thing I know is that MKG will be a difference-maker at the NBA level.
