So much hate for Mike Miller, he take two broken thumbs last year and he was wearing a hand guard and splints. Jesus, you guys hating must never have had an injury on your shooting hand. I can guarantee you Mike Miller this year will be a different one to the one you saw last year.

He's going to be nailing mid ranges, 3 pointers, rebounding, hustling, taking charges, he'll shoot 3's at a 40% clip and fg% of 45%. 10-12 points off the bench with 4 rebounds. That's nice off the bench, I'm telling you he will be a new man.

I don't think its hate as much as it is frustration. Everyone knows he had a lot of injuries and shooting with braces and guards on your hands is difficult, but the guy is getting a big chunk of money to not contribute as much as everyone originally thought. But there is a chance that he come back this year and have a great season and shoot the ball like he used to, which is what everyone is hoping for.

Wade, Lebron, Bosh, and the bench can make up for that. Then in the West, Bynum, Haywood, Gasol. Not much of a threat either.

My thoughts as well. Its not as if their is some monster bigs or frontlines out there that will overwhelm us. Only Howard and he's not surrounded by anything. Like Riley said, when you have the advantage at SG/SF/PF almost everynight (2 of them being the best in the league)you don't have a lot of room/reason to complain.

Also Wade/Lebron are above average rebounders for their position and Bosh is good as well. Then you have Haslem and Miller. One of the main reasons Riley wanted to stick with Miller I think was his rebounding prowess along with his shooting. He has a nose for the ball and has a knack for grabbing offensive rebounds. I think Miller will eventually get back to his old self and be an asset to the team. He really hasn't gotten a chance to get into a rhythm due to the injuries.

A big man will give you post offense/defense and rebounding. Which is why Wade and Lebron are posting up more this year and refraining from taking threes. It like the Bulls teams where Jordan was the teams' primary offensive post up option. As Riley said, the Heat don't have a big so they have to play big and think big. Which is probably why Riley built the team around guys who can rebound well for their position.

I don't think we are deep but we have plenty. I disagree about Joel, this team will win on defense and he is a big part of that. I do think we will need to pick a big mid season because the bench wont get it done against Howard/byrum.

All in all I like this team we have plenty of offense (haslem and battie will get going offensively) and defense will be to where it was last season in time.

Playoff rotation is 10 man and that's what this team needs come summer. Nothing else matters...

I saw Curry wearing warmups in the bench last night which only means he's active & ready.

Mike Miller went from 6th Man of the Year material to...a non shooting shooter who wanna be rajon rondo.

He doesn't go around hitting shots like he used to, if he did he wouldn't been bounced around the league since 2007.

He's getting by on reputation of what he did in his early years.

And he has always had nagging injuries, it's not like he was iron man and had a few mishaps. He been consistently missing a buttload of games and not wanting to shoot for some years now.

So it's nothing new for him, and then he gonna be here for 5 years and he's just a waste of roster space.

If he comes back and go HAM and play somewhat like he used to play in 2005 and 2006 and 2007 then he's fine.

But other than, anything less than that is a waste because James Jones hustles and all that other crap and he's less money and provides more roster flexibility.
