Even if you really like Mayo (I don't because he's a streaky shooting tweener), why would you give a player of value for a player whose value is at rock bottom? If you offered MEM Amir for Mayo do you know how fast they'd accept? They'd just waiting for someone to come in and overpay for Mayo. He's certainly not better than DD either.

Well I guess we'd have a deal then.

I like DeRozan like I said. But Mayo has natural ability and talent and I'm so sure anymore than Amir is worth the money he got signed for. Like I said he has a Turiaf-type game, looks like he'd be a successful Turiaf-type player so he should get Turiaf-type money. Maybe a three team deal that sends Amir to Memphis, Mayo to Indiana and Indiana's pick to us? That's great value for Amir I think...perhaps I'm underrating him.

You aren't underrating him. Amir is a good back-up period no matter what Boris says.

Grizz lost Arthut and they just might have lost Zach.

Davis for Mayo and a future first.

I'm definitely down for that. Follow it up by moving DeMar and a future pick for Stephen Curry or someone of that calibre at the 1 and we could speed this whole thing up.

Curry
Mayo
Gilchrist
Bargs / Amir or Davis
Val

Looks good to me.

Ed+Alabi (and lotto protected 1st in 2013, if we absolutely have to) for DeMarcus Cousins

2011-2012:
Cousins/Magloire/Gray
Bargs/Amir
Butler/JJ/Kleiza
DeMar/Barbosa/Forbes
Jose/Bayless/AC

Assuming Casey can get DeMarcus to buy in, play hard, and start playing up towards his potential the way he has with Bargnani, we're in an excellent position heading into the summer. Next year, we add Jonas and our 2012 pick, and have a ton of capspace and quality assets to pursue some big free agency/trade scenarios as well. We could roll with an excellent frontcourt rotation (with some fairly interchangeable pieces) of Bargs/Cousins/Jonas/Amir, or potentially trade one of those guys to address pressing needs elsewhere.

Memphis is definitely having issues.

Rudy Gay is off to a slow start. He went 2-12 tonight and his PER will fall below 13. All of his efficiency related stats are down, and he's being paid megabucks.

Not sure I would focus on OJ Mayo who is a restricted free agent this summer and is going to get an offer sheet for more than I'd be comfortable paying him.

Let's see if Gay's production remains erratic because if he does, it's going to be mighty tempting for the Grizz to move him at the deadline for financial relief (part of our current cap and Barbosa) and someone like Ed or Amir to shore up their PF situation.

I don't think we'd need to give up a future 1st. I'd thrown in Barbosa, in hopes that we can pry away Xavier Henry or Quincy Pondexter. But yeah, I'm all for that kind of deal. If by any chance Mayo happens to erupt in Toronto, we'd have assets to play with. I mean, it's not like we have anybody now to play with DeMar on the wings for this season. James Johnson can't shoot worth a lick. Rasual Butler is...well, Rasual Butler. And I don't know what the deal is with Gary Forbes. Go with Mayo and DeRozan on the wings. This deal would mainly be about acquiring another asset though.

My bad, I misread that. Then even better for us  And like I said, we can throw in Barbosa no problem.

seems like Memphis and G State are having problems, this trade helps both teams out in my opinion

Raps Receives

Steph Curry, Xavier Henry, Biedrins

Raps get their PG of the future and some depth, hard nose Euro centre to teach Jonas, and a potential 3pt threat in Henry.

PG Curry - Bayless
2G DeRozen - Henry
SF Barnes? - Johnson
PF Bargnani - Hard Nose Vet Free Agent
C Jonas - Biedrins

Memphis Receives

Barbosa + Amir Johnson

Depth for a playoff push, Barbosa gives them needed experience, Amir is a perfect role player for them

G State Receives

Ed Davis Jose Calderon OJ Mayo

Pass first PG to pair with Monta Ellis, Ed Davis and OJ give them young assets with major upside

Agree we should be focussing on Rudy rather than OJ. With Arthur out for the season they need some big bodies. I would give up Ed or Amir (plus Barbosa if they want him or not to help them with salary). Raps need a SF and besides Barnes not sure who else I like in the 2012 draft. Having Rudy locked up for a while would be great for the core.

I like Gay, but the guy makes a hell of a lot of money for what he does.... moving forward we may be in a pinch financially.

I dont see them parting with Henry for Barbosa.

To TOR: Curry + Biedrins
To MEM: Amir
To GSW: Mayo + Calderon + Davis

I think thats "closer" but dont see GSW doing it.

Calderon / Mayo
Ellis / Thompson
Wright / Rush
Lee / Davis
Brown / Udoh

doesnt look very good to me. I would love it from our perspective.

Curry / Bayless
Derozan / SG
Barnes / Kleiza
Bargnani / PF
Val / Biedrins

did not see a trade thread. what would it take to get ed davis to denver. who would potentially be a starter here and would get significant minutes since george karl loves players that come from north carolina.

untouchables: ty lawson, gallinari, afflalo, nene

everything else is fair game including our draft picks. what would it take

There's no one else we'd want other than the people you excluded. And any pick from Denver is unlikely to be very high.

I'm still slightly confused over the players on Denver stuck overseas...they still own the rights to Wilson Chandler right?

I'd do something like Ed Davis for Wilson Chandler and 2012 1st.
