Hopefully Coach Drew continues to make good decisions. Joe Johnson has been huge for us. Marvin Williams on the other hand needs to step up after the half.

We must get to the free throw line during the second half. We have two attempts, Miami has ten attempts.

Josh Smith is playing huge down the stretch. Scoring and blocking.

Awesome win. Great team defense and hustle. So far T-mac is an upgrade on Jamal. Great to see Teague bounce back from Houston, and always good to see JJ play with confidence and knock down his shots. Exciting stuff.

Well he had a good 3rd quarter but with TMac bringing his talents to South Beach I didn't mind him not getting a chance to capitalize on his scoring streak. Pargo hit a clutch 3 too, hope he can get on track from there but seriously, congrats to TMac.

Good win. Noone is going 66-0 don't blow it out of proportion too much. Josh is a much better player when he quits shooting jumpers. Teague is Teague, 13-15 and 5 with better defense than Bibby, shaking my head at what he could be now if he was not sitting on the bench when he was always able to give you what Bibby gave. Nothing new, we might lose by 50 2morrow or win straight up.

Good thread ATL Boy keep them coming

All the shots Pargo missed so far this season were worth it to get that 3 pointer in the 4th. Big close by Tracy McGrady. A lot of strong efforts from a lot of Hawks (Teague and Horford especially). I hope we improve our FT shooting as watching those missed points is painful. Someday soon help defense will start closing on Teague penetration. I hope when that happens that he can start hitting Josh, Al and Marvin for easy slams. Until then keeping shredding them young fellow. It's sure fun seeing the Hawks actually get penetration baskets for a change.

this is for those "Jay Mariotti" fans who love to overreact after every lose, like Ruhiel and Skyhawk1 who wanted to throw the Hawks under the bus after the Houston game

the identity of this year's team, really seems to be "DEEP". the depth on the bench seems to be 10 deep.

great game for Smoove and Marvin, their defense and defense on Lebron (and Bosh) was the key and they went toe to toe with Lebron and Bosh, and it allowed Joe and Teague to do their thing.

TMac is the player of the game. if he could just hit free throws, it would have been lights out.

Great to see Horford rebounding again. hopefully this will get him started for the rest of the year, because the Hawks need him to average 10rpg along with his great shooting percentage.

Hey baseline... I didn't throw the Hawks under the bus after the loss in Houston, it was just frustrating to see our effort and focus... but I get your point. Now, I was very pleased with the way Teague approached this game. You can tell he was determined to drive to the basket. Horford isn't quiet there yet but had a nice game. Smith is to me our biggest problem. Every time he took and missed a long jump shot the Heat got in transition and scored fairly easy. Besides that, maybe W. Green also needs to work on his shot selection. When we got T-Mac I said he was going to get some of Marvin's minutes but most of you thought I was dead wrong. T-Mac at his age and stage can still put the ball on the floor, make a play for others, and also shoot with better confidence than Marvin. I expect more of that as the season progresses.

Just one more thing... the Heat arena is just like ours on a Tues night against the Bobcats or the Bucks.... dead and silent... unbelievable.

There's Smith in a nutshell: one minute we're screaming, "Get him outta there!" The next we're marveling that only a few human beings can do what he can.

It's probably too much to hope that McGrady can come all the way back. More than likely, some games he'll play like this but, most of the time, he'll show his age. To me, if we can just get play like this out of him in the 4th, I'll count us lucky.

Thrilled by the win tonight. Still don't trust our bench outside of Zaza, TMac as a point-forward type player, and surprisingly Radmanovic.

Either Willie Green is going to shoot himself into a hot streak or shoot us out of a heap of games...

I thought about that while I was watching the game. Coach Drew needs to watch him closely and not let things get out of hand.

I am so glad I was dead wrong in my predictions.
We have to reckognize that the Heat were not the Heat at full speed that thay can be, but many of our players contributed very well.

McGrady is not that all. If he has had a good summer, and no injuries come back, he cam have a nice season. But for sure he will have ups and downs. It will be LD's task to get the most out of him just in short periods. Marvin is playing well to me. He is connecting his shot, helping a little bit on the boards, defending...

Let's see if we are not too tired tonight to do another great thing against the Bulls and end up at the front of the EC Rankings this week.

There was one ugly 3-pt. shot he took while Horford was waving his arms - right in front of the basket. Horford went down the court with his arms outstretched. I could imagine him shouting, "Give me the ball when I'm wide open down there!"
