I'd trade Davis for Koufos and the 1st. But I think Davis is hot garbage, so take it fwiw.

With Crawford in town, and Batum relegated to the bench, I was wondering if this swap could make sense. I love Batum and would love to have him on the Raptors.

I remember before the season started Portland was looking for some depth up front. Davis is young, and can be a good big off the bench.

The Raptors could add the expiring contract of Barbosa if PDX wants someone to replace Batum. However I think their wing rotation is more than fine with Crawford/Wallace/Matthews. It could also open up some minutes for Babbitt (not sure how high Portland is on Babbitt).

For the Raptors, they get their starting small forward. They then go on to draft Drummond or Anthony Davis with their pick.

They can then deal Bargnani in some sort of package for a point guard.

PG/DeRozan/Batum/Davis or Drummond/Valancuinas

Thoughts?

I thought this was a good trade idea by Relentless. Do you guys think both sides would do it? It addresses big needs for both teams imo, and both guys end up in situations where they will likely get more minutes in a bigger role. I'm sure Portland would like having an extra two years of rookie scale salary for Ed as well. We also get the opportunity to sign Nic to a reasonable extension before he hits free agency, something he seemed amenable to doing in Portland (but if not, we still retain his RFA rights so we can match offers if he wants to test free agency)

I really like Batum's game, and I think him and DeMar on the wings could work very well together, especially after seeing the way he played when he was able to handle the ball more when he was playing in France during the lockout.

I'm still slightly confused over the players on Denver stuck overseas...they still own the rights to Wilson Chandler right?

I'd do something like Ed Davis for Wilson Chandler and 2012 1st.
