Does Pargo not know how to do a left-hand layup?

I've been watching this clip all morning and the only conclusion I can come to is that he can't go left hand...

I mean, he saw lowry coming from the right hand side, so all he had to do was use left hand and go off glass, while taking the contact; but instead he does a right handed finger roll? Does anyone else have a better explanation for what happened here? I'm probably gonna lose sleep over this.
