Although you certainly have been McGee's biggest supporter around here, you have hardly been the only one who has been behind him. Although plenty of people have become frustrated with his mistakes, I'd venture to say more than half of this board has believed (and still believes) that McGee can still be a very good player. Don't make it sound like you were the only one right about McGee (although, I am still not ready to announce that he has arrived after a handful of games)

Also, you don't like this board so much because you are sick of people arguing with you? I hate to burst your bubble CCJ, but you are no more right or wrong than most people on this board. You get some things right, but you also get somethings wrong (e.g, like stating that this team would play better after Arenas, Jamison, and Butler were gone; Almond being a good player).

Finally, for all your Flip hate, isn't at least conceivable that Flip is one of the reasons for McGee's improvement this year? Maybe McGee was tired of getting the quick hook during games for his defensive lapses, poor rebounding, and dumb shot taking, and finally decided that he was going to improve in these areas. Frankly, I'd trust a coach that has been teaching kids how to play basketball for 30+ years to know what makes a kid tick and what approach to take to make the kid improve than fans on this board. So far, both Young and McGee have improved under Flip. Isn't at least possible that Flip's coaching is partly responsible for their improvement?

I should also add that while you said that McGee would develop an offensive game, you also said that
he was a face the basket type offensive player, and not a back to the basket post up player. Well, so far, McGee has looked a ton more efficient with his back to the basket than he has been facing up. Just sayin'

dandridge, your opinion has been duly noted.

When we judge or criticize another person, it says nothing about that person; it merely says something about our own need to be critical.

dandridge, this board is a place where I discuss views, opinions, ideas, etc. If I criticize a coach or a GM or an owner, I do it as a fan. I can be as right or as wrong as the next person, but one thing I don't do is call anybody out.

Guys like you are who I posted the two quotes for. Rather than sit back and keep score of who's saying what I move on to the next idea or opinion. When someone desires to put me in my place I have to consider the source and ultimately conclude you have a right to your opinion. It is not threatening and really shouldn't bother me at all that you feel that way.

Again, the ideas interest me. If you think you're giving an accurate and detailed summation of my ideas, fine dandridge. Thanks.

CCJ, although I don't agree with you on a few issues on this board, you seem like a decent enough guy. And, if we ever got together in person, I'm sure we would agree on more things than not and get along just fine. However, when you say things on the board like you dont like the board so much because people argue with you, or when you imply people should listen to your opinion simply because you have been right before, you are begging for someone to call you out and point out when you were wrong. Its no big deal...I've been wrong plenty of times before too.
