Wait so are they going to convert Myles Jaye back into a SS???

he is just speculating for now

That'll be quite fascinating if that were to happen. Just makes what the White Sox got back for Jason Frasor that more interesting. Also there's speculation that Daniel Webb will be converted to a relief pitcher next year which would make the hard throwing pitcher much more effective.

He was already a reliever this year and sucked this is a straight salary dump nether of these two will ever see the MLB in all likelihood.

A full time reliever. The guy still started 12 games in Lansing last season and struggled mightily.

The Rasmus trade just looks stupidly good now. Jaye, Webb, Zep, Patterson, Dotel, and Stewart for Colby Rasmus and Mark Teahen. If anyone here had proposed that trade a year ago we would have called them crazy.

Very good I loved having him come out the bullpen.

Not to pick on any particular poster(s),,, but this was basically the verdict of a thread back in 2010:

Obviously, he thinks Rasmus for Marcum, Stewart is reasonable too, so that is about the price

if that was possible, AA would be all over wite at the first chance..... sadly, I doubt it

viewtopic.php?f=123&t=1057297

All we did was add Lawrie (and give up Rzep) as part of that trade proposal... :D

Woot! AA rules.

How about this,
TOR
Bautista
Marcum
Thames
B+ prospect

STL
Rasmus
David Freese
C prospect

Gives STL a soild offensive boost now and a solid #3 starter that can win 15 games for them. Gives the jays 2 solid young controllable players. Not sure if STL goes for it may have to sweeten the deal a little for STL

In defence of that one I will say Bats hadn't signed long term yet and it looked like we were going to lose him in a year. Also I was one of the non believers in Buatista, boy was I wrong.

Sorry i was not trying to single you out, and at that point i would not have blamed you for this because no one can predict the future. I was just saying look how good things turned out for us.

So glad to see Frasor back! The kid's a competior, has a fine arm and you can never have too many guys who bleed Blue.

Are you talking about the Colby Rasmus that you hope plays for the Jays, or the one that has actually played for the Jays so far? As of now, CR has been flat out awful.
