It's supposed to happen in the next 48 hours, in case you didn't hear.

That should have been the starting lineup since Brooks beat out Morrow in the preseason.

That should have been the lineup regardless of whether Dwight was to come or not.

No, you don't always play the best player at each position to start.

Start him this early into the season and if he struggles, you don't know what will happen to his confidence. Then if you have to bench him? Even worse. Don't see why it matters if he's getting starter minutes anyway.

Personally, I think he'll be the starter in a couple of games. I wouldn't want him to being running around screens and chasing down Ray Allen all game then keeping up with Derozan two days after that followed with Wade on a back to back. Could be overwhelming, and no point in risking it.

Maybe against the Hawks when we're at home.

It would be nice to start Brooks against the team that gave him to us.

Deron Williams becomes the first face of Red Bull in the NBA. He's suddenly getting these deals because he's about to move to New York.

Just shows you what being in a big market can do for your pockets outside of basketball. I actually liked the video as well.

According to him, he's only going to make a few extra thousand. Right...

Pretty legit video.

The only reason they're not flocking to him yet is because he hasn't signed to stay here for a long time. The MLS soccer team of the area is called the NY Red Bulls who play in Harrison, NJ at Red Bull Stadium. The other main Red Bull NBA star is Blake.

It's clearly a NY/LA market thing. Someone needs to tell him this is just the start. Just keep signing more endorsements throughout the season and don't pay attention to the losses. In a few months, we'll have a great draft pick, $25 mil in cap space, a rich D-Will, and a transition to Brooklyn.

the other night he looked really upset w/ Hump out during his pregame interview...I actually think it was a borderline poor attitude...in all fairness, there are a lot of reasons to be truly disappointed about the 2011-12 year, but come on...I'm looking for a little more professionalism during a pregame interview...As much as the media can beat you up with dumb questions over and over again, I almost turned the TV off after seeing his mentality...

I'll chalk it up as genuine, in the moment and we'll see how it goes as the season progresses...

Williams said that he's "very confident in what Billy’s doing, and that’s why I’m trying to be – I am being patient." Stefan Bondy tweets that Williams twice referenced "a bigger picture."

"As hard as (losing) is, all I can do is try to get as many wins as possible," Williams said. "Like I said, there’s always a bigger picture."

Oh look, Deron gave ANOTHER vote of confidence to the team, Billy King, and his future with the Nets. But every non-Nets fan won't read that, coincidentally.

I'm not really liking how he's playing though. Seriously, he's supposed to be an elite PG in this league, in the same class as Rose and Paul (who are tearing it up)...and now people are seriously considering Rondo vs Deron a debate? He's had like 3 games in which he's shot well, and he hasn't had a dominant, Deron Williams-type game for us yet, when he goes for like 30/12 or something. And I haven't watched the last couple of games, but people say he's just going through the motions, and not really in it. Maybe if he's "in it", and he plays up to his abilities, we could have a couple more wins instead of being 1-6 right now, and maybe everyone doesn't have to speculate that he's going to leave a crap team, that's crap partially because he's playing like crap.

Last game he played well. His 8 assists are misleading.....there were countless missed open shots/looks under the basket that could have been many more.

A source says Dwill is "checking out" on the Nets. His play would support that.

If you went to that last Indy game you would know there was no way he is "checked out". He was pissed Avery took him out after he hurt his hip.

Also, he was super pissed we were losing to them. He started yelling at Indy's bench when he was taken off the court.

He is just unhappy that this team sucks right now. But, still have faith that he likes the organization, the city, and our future. He also understands that the team is undermanned right now and new.

Hey, it's Hamberger. That hack has zero credibility when talking about DWill. Deron destroyed him last year when he was reporting what "sources" said about DWill's future. And in this very case his source is just SPECULATING from seeing him play. Just an opinion like yours or mine. That source who knows Williams' tendencies could be people from Utah's front office for all we know lol.

Funniest thing is that when he was asked about how he's dealing with losing, DWill said the day before that he's being patient and understands there's a bigger picture, that he is very confident in what King's doing. That right there is enough to debunk that speculation by Hamberger's "source".

Exactly, I knew it was false just because of the timing of its release. He should've waited a few weeks before making it lol.

@NyCeEvO: Maybe the Nets should smarten up and trade D.Will for young talent...I think the Nets could probably trade D.Will for Westbrook, that would be an even trade... 8-) Even D.Will for Kyle Lowry would be a decent trade, because D.Will isn't going to re-sign with the Nets..

But in talking with people inside and outside the Nets organization, it’s clear that Williams is willing to be patient. He’s been engaged in all big-picture discussions and he’s encouraged the team to maintain roster flexibility with an eye toward next summer’s free agency period. Other stars would have demanded that the Nets add payroll (remember, they nearly signed Tyson Chandler and Nene), but Williams didn’t roll an eye when big-name free agents signed elsewhere.

:D

Return to Brooklyn Nets
