Per twitter, I think he said his leg stiffened up, maybe from sitting too damn long on the bench. :-?

I hate anyone posting in this thread that does not usually post here just to try and pass there negative vibes off. I hope a pit bull gets a hold to your tongue. As for the Hawks, this is not as bad a loss as some will make and Charles Barkley is a punk all he did all night was talk down on the Hawks. F the national media, they disrespected us when we beat the Heat and they did the same when we lost to them.

All that said go ahead and blow this up.

no offence , but this was a bad loss for the hawks . losing to a division rival whos missing their 2 best players cant happen if the hawks want to be one of the elite teams . i agree with you about barkley and the way the hawks are disrespected by the media .

It is nothing new that Atlanta gets disrespected by the media. It happens for all teams here. The Falcons never seem to get any support. Thrashers get sold and not even a blip on the national radar. Braves usually don't get much press since they aren't a huge flashy club. So it is nothing new.

Then again, I don't blame the media for bashing the Hawks. We don't have a true star, our ownership situation is in ruins, everything just screams hot mess. Atlanta isn't a bad city in terms of media attention and popularity with players, people just don't come out to games. Atlanta has always been a fair weather city. If the Falcons are good, we will come out. If the Falcons suck (Joey Harrington starting), we don't. If someone would come in and buy the Hawks, someone who has some ties to Atlanta or even a big name star or group with money (like with the Dodger where you have a group with Torre, a group with some Atlanta stars), then I think Atlanta is much more marketable. Until that happens, Atlanta will continue to get pushed around by the national media.

Jeff Teague needs to take the outside shot when he's wide open instead of driving right into the traffic that freed him up.
Joe Johnson needs to not take 16 seconds to decide what to do.
Marvin needs to just shoot it when he's open instead of dribbling into worse shots where he's not squared up.
Josh was, well, Josh.
I think Al Horford got all of 3 legitimate FGA this game (that is: not putbacks).

Ivan Johnson and Willie Green were great off the bench, and if Josh played like Ivan Johnson did tonight in terms of aggressiveness, he'd be All-NBA.

How about Marvin was, well Marvin. Its who he is. No confidence as a starter, mental issues.
Al Horford was, well Al Horford.
Joe Johnson was well Joe Johnson.
Teague, with his bad missed 3, was well Jeff Teague.

We are who we thought we were.

I say tmac gets the start over Marvin.... think tmac could average 20 points easily if he puts up atleast ten shots a game. (hes been very efficient) marvin could be a good role player and the leader of the bench when theyre on the floor. give it a shot.

Tracy McGrady: "I didn't want to go to a team to chase a championship"

Why did you choose to sign with Atlanta instead of perhaps going to a team that is closer to winning a title?
TM: Well, I just wanted to go to a team where I felt like I fit in well. I didn't want to be one of these guys that's going to a team to chase a championship. That wasn't what I wanted to do. I felt like this was a great team with a great core and a piece like myself missing with Jamal Crawford not being here, that scorer that comes off the bench for these guys. I know he was leaving, so why not come here?

TM: Until the man upstairs lets me. I can play (five more years including this one). I feel good. As long as I keep my body in shape and I don't have to revert back to carrying a team.

No. We Stop Putting bandaids on an infected axe-wound. Make a trade for size.
Bring both off the bench. 2 Big wings should be able to post up 1 of them.

This was an absolute joke!!! We just blew 2 games because we missed free throws!!!! Is this team not practicing free throws?? WOW I really feel bad for Ivan Johnson tho that kid did not deserve to be on the losing team, this team should be 6-1 right now, I think sund should sign a player from FA just for free throws wow!!! I'm upset right now but not nearly as upset as I was last night, when we play weak or depleted teams everyone on this team thinks they're superstars and try to do it on their own, if not for Ivan the terrible we wouldn't have even gotten to overtime, Ivan needs to be the 6th man next game. Oh well I'll just get to work on the Charlotte thread
