I look at a thread like this and I can only laugh.
A couple years ago I was arguing against trading Kevin Martin and I was BLASTED because Martin "didn't fit in with Evans" and that "Evans is the future of this franchise". A couple years INTO the future, and we're already talking about shipping EVANS out of town as well because HE no longer appears to "fit in" with whatever direction you guys believe this team is supposed to be headed in. Wow. That didn't take ANY time, did it?

I swear, you people are never happy. What exactly do you people want? What does it take? Every couple years you're ready to get rid of somebody who you were once RAVING about as "the future". How long before we try to trade Marcus Thornton for "being a bum" as well? Cause you know its gonna happen. Maybe 2 years, maybe 3. Hell maybe next year. Because if history has taught me anything, he will also do something to fall out of your "good graces" before long. Kings fans are never satisfied... How do you build a winning team if you only have a 2-3 year window per player to do so?

SAC: T. Evans, J. Thompson, J. Hickson, 2013 Top 3 Protected 1st
BOS: R. Rondo

I think we would have a hard time saying no to that deal. I would be happy to send JJJ your way.

CT: O'Neal/ Thompson/ Stiemsma
PF: Garnett/ Bass/ Hickson/ Wilcox
SF: Pierce/ Pietrus/ Pavlovic/ Green
SG: Dooling/ Allen/ Daniels
PG: Evans/ Moore/ GILBERT ARENAS :D

That's some quality depth at power forward - The other deal I'd like to do for Rondo would be to Houston for Lowry and Scola. Not sure if the Rockets do it though. Maybe Lowry, Budinger, Williams and Thabeet. Lowry, pick and Hill? I could see Houston being a good trade partner for the Kings for Evans and/ or Cousins as well.

Uh dude, the people who wanted Martin gone were a small minority. It was pretty much me against 90% of Kings fans.

Sure felt like the other way around to me. It seemed like I was the one arguing against everybody else NOT to trade him. But that's beside the point.

The point is, a mere TWO YEARS LATER we're already discussing trading Evans, the guy who was supposed to takeover control of the franchise FROM Martin. Yet, Evans hasn't even gotten a fair chance (much like Martin) to do much of anything yet and its already time to start shopping him around. Why? Because he's ball dominant??? YOU GUYS KNEW THAT FROM THE VERY BEGINNING! And every superstar guard in this league is ball dominant. And can you blame the guy for BEING ball dominant, considering since his rookie season the coach drew up damn near every play for Evans to have the ball and essentially "do something with it"? It's what he's used to doing! Tyreke is Lebron James-lite at getting to the basket. Not everybody can do what he does. All he needs to do is work on his game, but he needs the time and the opportunity to do so (and the lockout didn't exactly help matters). This is only the guy's 3rd year in the league, and he already had an entire world of pressure put on his shoulders since his rookie season. Expectations were placed FAR too high to even be remotely realistic.

And I hope people realize we will NEVER perfectly recreate the 2002, 30 assist per game team. Never. Let it go. It's not coming back. We need to better concern ourselves with maximizing the pieces of talent that we currently have RIGHT NOW rather than trying to relive the past. Yeah, we could use some more passing in our diet, but that's a reflection of the offensive system (or lack thereof) and not necessarily ALL the fault of the players. There's no reason why the main pieces of this roster (Cousins, Evans, Thronton) cannot be contending for a title within the next 5 years, but we have to KEEP THEM TOGETHER to make that happen. And get a better coach who knows how to run an offense while we're at it. We have all the talent in the world (on paper) right now. Again I say, you cannot build a championship team if you only give each player 2-3 years before labeling them as a "failure" and abruptly shipping them out of town.

A trade with the MN wolves could be an option. the wolves need a SG who has good handles and is an above avg scorer. i think Evans could fit that role.
Sac could get anyone on the roster except Rubio/Williams/Love.
Some of the Possible Assets could be...
Luke Ridnour, Michael Beasley, Wes Johnson, Anthony Randolph, Mem 1st, Utah 1st
Any combination of these would be good.
