What happened to the block party, Josh??

Post#1 » by SAUCERY_SWEET » Fri Jan 6, 2012 6:03 am

I remember when Josh Smith used to be a terror as far as blocking goes, what changed?? We need that guy back. How many freakin times did Chalmers drive to the basket and lay it up??

Also Horford to a lesser extent has gotten somewhat lazy at that aspect of the game, I know I'm not the only one who've noticed that their blocks and rebounds are really subpar as of late. I know it's still early but this has actually been trending since the 2nd half of last season.

i think Smoove is trying to play more in control and take less gambles and playing better strong side defense.

i remember when Josh was a kid, he would get a ton of blocks, but would get into foul trouble alot ,just like Dwight.

today, both Josh and Dwight don't have a problem in getting into foul trouble. i agree with both Dwight and Josh playing more in control now a days, but as for Josh, since the Hawks are so deep in the bench, i think it would be okay if he plays reckless again and go after every block.

as for Dwight, with no more Gortat, he needs to be more in control and be selective with his blocks, because the Magic have trash on the bench.
