After watching this Heat/Hawks game.... I DO NOT want any Hawk players in any deal... not even Smith... embarrassing team and performance.

If Dwight goes, you can better believe someone is going down and Otis Smith will get the blame.

Whoever is brought in though will be judged on the moves they make.

No trade will happen until after The All-Star Game. No way Orlando wants him to be on another team for that game.

The moment of truth will start coming afterwards.

I think he will make a big mistake in leaving but my gut says he wants out.

The Magic then need to make the hard call about whether to take a chance he will not bolt.

The trade offers will come in and they will narrow it down to the best one (If that team wants a committment from Dwight will be a factor) and The Magic will ask themselves............. Id Dwight going to go and is this package worth taking if they do think he is gone?

It will be a rough time for us all.

For now, I say we enjoy basketball until the All-Star Break and try to keep this in the back of our minds.

If you ask me, his explosiveness is halfway gone. Not the same guy that he was in PHX and I think PHX medical staff knew that would happen.

No to amare, he is not what he used to be.

Right now the only player with a possible upside is Bynum, but it is a hell of a gamble on his knees. Maybee we can get him that surgery that Kobe got in Germany?

When healthy Bynum could be strong in the east, plus our game plan and system doesn't have to change that much. If you can get gasol in there and not loose JJ or Ryno than it may be the best deal we can get. Make them take turk or duhon and make some smart moves and we can afford to try and lure a nice wing player.

Bynum is not dwight but that would at least be a solid contender.

Let's say we get Bynum (for the record, I am apposed to trading Dwight. Make the guy walk away from $30M) and shed some of our long contracts, is there a scenario where we can sign DWill to play him with Bynum?

This is just my opinion but I think Howard plays all of the 2011-2012 season with the Magic, if he wants to leave he will have to opt in(ala Chris Paul) and get traded. The Magic won`t sign and trade Howard.

For now lets just enjoy our season and prepare for the Allstar game.

Good question, I know there has to be a way, maybe if we declined Redick's option and traded Hedo along with Dwight?

I know there has to be more to it (I'm definitely not a salary cap guru), can anyone work this out?

But we might be better of trading him to NJ for Brooks/1st/Lopez and trying to convince CP3 to come here after next season (he opted in to his last year).

I want no part of Bynum on this team, not only he is dirty and injury prone, he also has received multiple speeding tickets.

His knees are weak and he is a walking injury.

Article regarding Bynum
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1184609/2/index.htm

Trainers learned that Bynum underwent his first knee operation when he was 12 and were concerned about his Q angle—the relationship between his pelvis, leg and foot. According to head athletic trainer Gary Vitti, a wide Q angle can affect the way the kneecap glides along the thigh bone and can also cause increased foot pronation, both common sources of injuries. "Andrew is challenged in terms of his skeleton," Vitti says.

you don't get CP without Dwight being here. If I'm management, I force/convince Dwight to opt-in to his last year here, then we go after Paul & Iggy when Jameer/JJ/Turk expire.

Paul/Duhon
Redick/Wafer/Liggins (we trade JRich for 2nd round pick)
Iggy/re-signed Turk for cheap or Q
Anderson/Davis
Dwight/Orton

So if any Lakers fan says Bynum injuries are related to players crashing on his knees, just answer them with the article.

The only trade I would make with the Lakers is this one, the trade would happen after March 1.

Orlando Trades: Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu,Glen Davis, Chris Duhon,Quentin Richardson.

Orlando Receives: Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Metta World Peace, Darius Morris, Devin Ebanks, LAL and Dallas first round pick.

Orlando Lineup

Nelson/Morris/Hughes
Jason Richardson/JJ Redick/Von Wafer
Metta/Ebanks/Harper
Gasol/Anderson
Bynum/Clark/ Orton

If we don`t want Bynum, maybe trade him and Jason Richardson for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson.

I personally think that with each rumor about potential trade partners for howard come out the more the magic gain in leverage for return. there might be a full scale bidding war right before the deadline and hopefully with each new offer the ante raises. so as others have said before lets just sit back enjoy magic basketball in the present and worry about howard leaving after the allstar game.

I seriously hope the magic don't risk the franchise on this guy's ankle. This may also make it harder for us to pry Monta from them.
