Player Of The Game 1/6/12

Post#1 » by jeff1624 » Sat Jan 7, 2012 2:36 am

I'll be making another thread in a little while which should be the official thread regarding player of the game winners of the 2011-2012 season.

And since I only caught the last quarter I won't be voting this time around.

DWill played well on both sides of the floor and created more shots for other guys tonight than I've seen this season. Though he wasn't efficient, he crossed over at least 5 Euros tonight and did whatever he want.

Morrow was on fire, and even created some of his own. Stevenson was very good defensively, drew several offensive fouls.

I voted DWill, but I would have went for "practice" because that's exactly what the team needed.

Of note D Will also got to the line 13 times.

I voted Deshawn because he completely shut down DeRozan in the beginning, and that basically destroyed DeRozan's confidence for the rest of the game. Then Deshawn went 5-12 from 3 pt!

went with deshawn because i feel like he stepped up into a bigger role tonight, while deron and morrow should pretty much play like this every night. all three were very good though

I'll go with Morrow.

Deron was great, but it was another tough shooting night, while Morrow couldn't miss (and it feels really weird to say that after the first 7 games lol).

I'm thinking Brooks will be better as a 6th man for this season.

Morrow. D-Will should be playing like that every game.

Actually, I expect better shooting from D-Will, 6-18 isn't good enough imo. I know he got to the line a ton, and he was creating a lot of shots, but I expect good shooting on top of that too. He's considered an elite PG, so I'm going to expect Paul/Nash/Rose-type numbers from him.

Avery said that Stevenson was the player of the game so I used my vote on his behalf since I didn't see the entire game.

Player Of The Game 1/6/12

Post#16 » by N Ireland Nets » Sat Jan 7, 2012 1:25 pm

Stevenson made a huge difference to the spacing and also on the defensive end.

Helped Williams get to the line so many times because they had to respect Stevenson & Morrow on the 3 point line.

I mean he held Derozan to 3 points for crying out loud.

But D Will looked like the superstar he should be but my vote is Stevenson.

He has to be our starting 3 for the rest of the season.
