GT: Saturday Playoff Games

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sat Jan 7, 2012 4:20 pm

I love playoff time.

Houston favorited by 4 over the Bengals. I think Bengals take this one.

The nightcap is the game of the weekend. Saints 10.5 point favorites. I think Saints win easily.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I don't really care about the Bengals/Texans. Whoever wins is going to get stomped in the next round.

Seriously, the 49ers and Packers have to face the Saints and either Giants or the Falcons while the Ravens and Pats could end up facing the Broncos and Texans or Bengals?

What is wrong with this picture?

Only AFC game worth watching is the Broncos/Steelers game just for lolz
I think the Lions hang in tough for a half but the Saints are just too good at home to lose to this Lions team.

The thing with Cincy/Houston is that somebody that has that recent years aura of "they can't get there" and "they are cursed" will be in round 2...with a rookie QB.

I think it's Cincy.

Rooting for Texans (so that Steelers face Pats in the 2nd round and one of them is eliminated) and Lions for obvious reasons

I'm not rooting for anyone in particular. Did that for the Giants in the 2007/2008 season and learned my lesson. We are better than every team, just need to take care of our own business.

P.S. awesome sig Greatness, though could do without the Pokemon part :P

I actually think Houston will win despite having Yates at QB. It's not like Dalton is light years better. Both have really good defenses too. I don't know though, I like Houston's running game a lot and think that could be the difference.

Lions might stick around for a while but I can't see the Saints losing, especially at home. I still can't believe they lost to the Seahawks last year. I wonder what the Packer's year would have been like had they had to play them.

Me too. I think the Lions should loose because NO doesn't loose at home but the Lions could make a game of it. The Lions offense can easily put up points against the Saints, it's about if the Lions can stop NO from putting up 45. I don't believe in extra motivation stuff when playoff time roles around but the Lions D was absolutely embarrassed by Flynn and they if they have any heart at all they should be ready to play a better game.

I agree,we can talk about which teams make us more nervous than others all we want, but as long as the Packers bring their A game I don't see how we don't repeat quite frankly. Not to sound cocky and it's the NFL so nothing is ever a lock but we have the homefield and we have the best team,it's all up to the Packers at the end of the day.

As for the games today I think the Bengals win a close one but like Profound said whoever wins doesn't have much of a chance in New England or Baltimore. The Broncos and the Steelers with their injuries don't have a chance in New England or Baltimore either.

I'm gonna go....

Bengals 23
Texans 20

The Saints in their game today are like the Packers in the playoffs, they can lose but you'd be crazy to bet against them.I think it's going to be a close game and I wouldn't be shocked if the Lions win,but I'd be crazy to bet against the Saints.

Saints 41
Lions 31

This game is a testament to how terrible the AFC is.

The current AFC reminds me of the NBA eastern conference in like 2004 when .500 could get you home court in the first round.
