Is Michael Beasley worth a pickup?

Post#1 » by Spicy P » Sat Jan 7, 2012 7:19 am

Someone dropped him my league. It's a 10-man rotisserie league. I'm really lacking small forwards and I have 1st waiver priority. This is my roster. I've been trying to do 2 for 1 trades with no success, so it's really tough to decide who to play/drop on my team because everyone is fairly productive.

PG Steve Nash, Pho PG
SG Monta Ellis, GS PG, SG
SF Hedo Turkoglu, Orl SF
PF Blake Griffin, LAC PF
C Spencer Hawes, Phi C
G Tyreke Evans, Sac PG, SG
F Antawn Jamison, Cle PF
UTIL Emeka Okafor, Nor C
UTIL Mike Conley, Mem PG

Bench Carlos Boozer, Chi PF
Bench Lou Williams, Phi PG, SG
Bench Tyrus Thomas, Cha PF
IR Brook Lopez*, NJ C O

I'd pick him up for either Lou or Tyrus. He sprained an ankle at the end of last night's game, but it doesn't sound too bad. He's had double digit rebounding the last couple games which is a nice sign and his scoring should come up a bit. With only Hedo at SF I think you have to grab him.

I think I'm going to drop Tyrus for him, but the question is, is he worth using my 1st waiver priority on or should I wait until he clears waivers?

Looking like he's going to miss a couple of games now... Also if Yahoo has a brain they're going to grant Tyrus Thomas SF status sooner rather than later because the Bobcats seem pretty intent on playing him at both forward positions while Maggette is out.
