it seems that fraizer will most likely be back for next year, but should he be?
i'll give him some credit because it didn't look like the players mailed it in at the end of the season they were still trying to win at the end. but it seemed at times this year that there were a lot of communication breakdowns. there were a couple times where the team just doesn't seem to know what's going on right after a timeout! (one example is when ponder tried to call two timeouts in a row because people didn't know what was going on)
so fraizer might be safe, but are all the coaches?

Re: coaching staff
I didn't we were very well coached this year. We lost a ton of close games and made a lot of stupid mistakes. I'm not calling for his head, but my feelings wouldn't be hurt if he was fired either.

I'd give him another year. Bill Musgrave can GTFO. I don't care if we don't have enough offensive weapons and all that, he's terrible.

This is what happens when you make the easy, cheap hire. As far as I'm concerned he can be gone.

Re: coaching staff
For starters, the Vikings have fired defensive line coach Karl Dunbar, a move confirmed Friday, the same day Raheem Morris interviewed at Winter Park as a potential candidate to be the new defensive coordinator

Darren Wolfson @DarrenWolfson
According to CBS' Clark Judge, the #Vikings will interview four for the DC job: R. Morris (done yest.), Spagnuolo, Mel Tucker, & Singletary.
I really hope Spagnuolo gets the job. Second choice would be Morris. I really hate seeing Singletary on the list of possible candidates though.

Sounds like Morris landed as DB coach with the Redskins and Spagnuolo is going back to the Eagles.

Re: coaching staff
Mel Tucker turned down an offer to become the Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator and will remain in the same position with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to ESPN.

Well, what other options are there at DC beside Singletary? Jack Del Rio?
EDIT: Juan Castillo is another possible candidate. Not real gung-ho on him. He had one of the most talented secondaries in all of football and I don't think he's nearly as good as the numbers indicate.

That's a tough one. In 2009, the 49ers were ranked 4th overall on team defense and 18th overall on team offense. They went 8-8.
This year under Harbaugh, they were 2nd overall on team defense and 11th overall on team offense. Their offense was previously 15th overall only 2 or so weeks ago. 13-3
I think he's a great motivator and players respect him but outside of that I don't think he has what it takes to be a good coach or DC.

Re: coaching staff
Vikings hired Alan Williams as DC and Brendan Daly as DL coach.
Alan Williams was the DB's coach for the Colts the past 10 years.
Brenden Daly was with the Vikings from '08-'09.
Fred Pagac accepted the demotion to LB coach.
Mike Singletary will become coaches assistant.
