Magic @ Kings

Post#1 » by pillwenney » Sun Jan 8, 2012 6:53 pm

Man, I need more of this drug that is Kings basketball. It's only been two days, and it's rarely good to me, but I want to see where these teams goes with some rest and day of practice under their belt.

Starters
Evans
Thornton
Salmons
Hickson
Cousins

vs.

Nelson
Richardson
Turkoglu
Anderson
Howard

Key Reserves
Fredette
Thompson
Some unknown combination of: Outlaw, Greene, Garcia and/or Thomas

vs.

Duhon
Redick
Fat Baby

Let's do this thing. Let's see more reasons for optimism.

We have the advantage in the backcourt, so Evans and Thornton need to play well. There's no way Nelson can keep whoever he's defending from getting to the rim. Even Jimmer has a couple of inches on Nelson, and with a couple days of rest, I expect Jimmer's shot to look better.

Cousins needs to stay out of foul trouble and continue to play like he has been the past couple of games. If he does that and our backcourt exploits the match ups like they should, then it should be a good game.

I'm eager for deNIEd's prediction.

I'm going to this game this afternoon. Can't wait to see how we deal with Howard.

I think Howard's presence as an intimidating shot blocker is going to force Tyreke to pass the ball more when he penetrates in the half court.

Hopefully the Kings can another W

For the first time in my life, I'll be sitting court-side across from the Kings bench. Got'em through my brother's work, I'm very stoked.

You should be. Sitting courtside was absolutely one of the very coolest experiences of my life. That's awesome dude.

Not counting on a victory this afternoon, but we better be competitive. Looking forward to see how Cousins does if they stick Howard on him.

Slip him a 20 and tell his dad to demand a trade to Sacramento.
