Packers/Giants Lead Up

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Jan 8, 2012 9:43 pm

3:30 Sunday.

Pack favored by 9. O/U 51.5
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

NFC has had 10 different teams in the last 10 SB. That would mean it's the Niners year. In the meantime let's whip New Yorks ass.

At least one place opened us as a 10 point favorite too so that line moved.

The forecast is a high of 21 and low of 18, possible snow, so elements will probably be a factor.

Temp won't matter, Manning was good in '07 in bitter cold.

Haven't really been nervous for a game since opening day. I'm nervous now because it's playoff time and I wish we could play now.

Not looking forward to the task of keeping that defensive front in check, gotta get the ball out quick. Glad we get Cliffy and Bulaga back.

I want revenge on these **** in a bad way.

Having Clifton, Bulaga, Jennings and Starks for the playoffs should be a nice boost. Hopefully there will be no wind or snow. Packers should win but you never know about the NFL, the Giants are a good team. Let the anxiety begin, after 16 weeks of watching games without a worry this game is going to be stressful to watch especially with Eli against our D.

Not the team I wanted to play, but it is what it is. The game will depend on the OL protection and Rodgers shredding the Giants secondary to shreds. Our D will provide little resistance against a balanced offense with three good WR's and a tested playoff QB. If our OL protects and Rodgers is on his normal level of play, we win, if he plays even an average game, I think we lose. I expect our D to give up at least 28 to this team.

Not as worried since we don't have to worry about Favre making terrible decisions and throwing game-changing INTs.

True, but our D was good enough to keep us in the game that day, even with Favre playing pretty poorly throughout. I don't think that is the case for this game. I expect Rodgers to be on and will be surprised if he's not, but if he's not, the D will not bail him out.

True, but I also think we have a much better offense and they have a much worse defense than in '07. This was my least favorite divisional round opponent, but I fully expect to beat them.

Comparing this years game to a game from 4 years ago is pretty useless.

Especially considering we beat this current Giants team 4 weeks ago.
