The excuses get so tiring.

Whatever you say, juicer.

I find it even more repulsive that Cyborg has used considering she is a woman, and any kind of steroid or growth hormone is essentially giving her a 'male advantage' to beat up other women.

Ronda Rousey called this awhile back. She was 100% spot on. I read on another forum that she will be stripped of her title. I didn't see the report though so not sure if that's confirmed.

I bet they scrap the whole 145 pound division.

It was really only made for Cyborg and Carano anyway. Most women can cut to 135.

If they insist on keeping him in Strikeforce, they would have to bring someone else in, right?

They gonna do Melendez vs. Noons? That dude Fodor? friggin JZ Calvan? There are better guys on every UFC prelim card.

This guy is supposed to be a top 3, 5, 10 LW depending on who you ask. How can they keep him there fighting guys outside the top 25?

Well it looks like KJ Noons vs. Josh Thomson in March for the right to lose to Melendez next. Whomever wins wouldn't be a terrible opponent for Melendez. But yea I know what you mean. They need to send someone over from the UFC to test Melendez. Anyone from a group that includes Denis Siver, Donald Cerrone, BJ Penn, Kenny Florian and Melvin Gillard would be fine to me. Hopefully between the fight with one of those UFC guys and the winner of Noons/Thomson one of the other Strikeforce guys will have the time to step up.

Oh stop it. Melendez is not a world-beater. Thomson's beaten him and came real close in the second fight despite having just come from a lay-off with a broken **** femur (no tune-up, IIRC).

Gotta love it when one guy argues passionate against a position 99% of all the people who watch the sport take based upon something that happened 2 years ago (even though Melendez won and the victory isn't considered controversial).

I agree that Melendez is somewhat overrated based on fighting lesser competition. But, he is still a top 5 LW.

Jake Shields was never overrated. He is coming off 2 tough losses to two elite guys at their weight class. But, this is the same Jake Shields that tooled Hendo, who last I checked is still a pretty damn good fighter.

Watch fights. He is a terrible kickboxer. Terrible. He doesn't look as if he were meant to move standing erect. How someone can move so well on all fours and so poorly on two feet, IDK. De-evolution?

He was 'rated', as you should well know, top 3 WW in the world and top 10 p4p. Is he 'rated' anywhere near that now? Is that not the definition of being overrated?

When Ellenberger becomes ufc champion it won't look too bad in hindsight. ;)

Shields has looked terrible in his last three fights. Like a WW version of Kimbo Slice. And honestly, Hendo only has one good round in him these days. Especially when he's drained to 185. He beat Shields up in that one round. And before that Shields basically fought Mayhem to a draw for 25 minutes.

O-ver-rat-ed!

This could explain why he is not a professional kickboxer.

Tons of guys are a loss or two from a rankings plunge, it doesn't mean they were overrated. Was Fedor overrated? By your definition, anyone who loses was overrated before losing.
