OT: NFL Playoffs

Post#1 » by jerseyjac » Mon Jan 9, 2012 5:56 pm

Two questions (feel free to add):
1) Are the Giants going to the Superbowl? (btw, for those who don't know I'm a Cowboys fan)

2)I really didnt pay much attention to this NFL-media debate which has gotten way too much attention, but where is everyone at with this Tebow-mania after yesterday's performance?

Giants are not making the super bowl (im an Eagles fan by the way)

Tebow mania is back in full swing, I wish I could have stayed home today to hear Skip Bayless talk about how great Tebow is again. Im not on the band wagon, but if they win this week at New England than I am converting to Christianity and going to church every Sunday.

I was just happy to see Stephen A. eat crow, I cant stand how Stephen A. talks in absolutes (who knew he was Steeler fan!?)......However, I am no way a Tebow fan, but have a lot of respect for what he can do in clutch situations...might not be a pro bowl QB, but man he does well in high pressure game scenarios...you cannot deny how he placed some of those big throws, precision...best game of his career...2nd qtr was off the charts...

As for the Giants, who I cannot stand...beat my boys twice and deserved it with the way they played and closed games...I have them beating Packers, winning the NFC championship and going to Superbowl...(btw, Giants vs Saints...Patriots vs Giant, rematch Eli vs. Brady)

I don't really follow football but yesterday I tuned in and found myself rooting for Pittsburgh. I wanted Tebow to fail and I blame ESPN for that. When they cover Tebow it's sensationalism at it's worst and that makes ESPN unwatchable most of the time. Now we'll have to hear about Tebow for the next year even if/when he loses vs New England next week.

Same happened with Jimmer during the draft and before the season began... But now that the Fredette well has exhausted by ESPN? He's shooting under 40% and playing less than 15 min a game for a terrible team and they've never mentioned his name again. I hate ESPN.

I'm a Giants fan. I don't know how far we'll get it, but I'm glad we're facing the Packers. Wouldn't want it any other way.

I like Stephen A. he makes me laugh and the way he argues is great. If Im Denver I sell Tebow high after this season, Im sure some dumb owner *Jerry Jones* will pay a hefty price to get him.

Giants will not beat Green Bay. I dont care how well they played them earlier this season the playoffs are a whole new universe. They have too much talent, experience, and hunger to lose at home to a bunch of overachievers. Yeah I said it, bring on the hate Giants fans!

Giants have a chance, I don't see it though.

Teeblow is an atrocity, hopefully he'll have a Quincy Carter like falloff.

What a game yesterday, Tebow going Priest Mode.

No Giants aren't making the Superbowl. Rodgers and Brees are just too much, unless their D-line get in their faces throughout the whole game. Can't see Manning winning a shootout with Brees/Rodgers, even though he got close.

I don't do much talking, but I will say the Giants are certainly peaking at the right time while the Packers haven't played well in several weeks. The whole team's played better in every aspect since that game as well; hard to believe the pass rush got better, secondary is showing up, and the running game is alive. I hope it's a frozen tundra out there  .

I'm not a fan of the Giants, but I can't stand the Patriots so I hope Eli & Co. beats them again.

As a Jets fan, this is the worst possible Superbowl matchup. But a damn good one at that, rematch between Eli-Brady and it's actually legit that Brady can't beat Eli (as hilarious as it sounds, dig up their last few match ups)

I have the Giants winning, the Giants D can slow down Brady and co, especially with Gronk a bit wobbly with that nasty ankle injury he suffered, I don't trust the Pats secondary to contain Cruz, Nicks and Manningham however. The Giants D is going to be in Brady's face all day.
