Wade an allstar?

Post#1 » by TheDon008 » Mon Jan 9, 2012 3:12 pm

Now I know this is a long shot, but is there a chance Dwade is not voted in as an allstar due to his injury and poor play as of late?

I think if he dosn't get back to himself the first few weeks of his return he may be in trouble. Im a bit worried. :-?

Thoughts?

Who is going to be voted in over him by the fans? He'd make the all-star game even if he was injured the whole year, just because of how the thing works.

There's not exactly a ton of great guards out there in the east to take his spot.

Read the names:

Lebron James

Kobe Bryant

Dwyane Wade

Dwight Howard

Even if they were paying poorly or were injured a big chunk of the season they would be voted in, just by name recognition. On the other hand Wades been injured, but as soon as hes ready to go he´ll be back to his old self.

And yet another stupid overreaction after not even 1/8th of the season.

We will have 3 all-stars most likely...and will do for a fair few years in the future.

All star voting is all by reputation just like those All NBA teams and other awards.

This year the All-Star voting started so early in the season, they are going by recognition not what they have done.

Who the hell can beat Wade as an All-Star SG in the East?

remember when A.I was voted into the all-star game and he literally averaged 4 points a game and played in only 2 season games....Its based off Name's not how they play.

hmmm .. the whole tone of this thread seems to that Wade would get voted in this year only on reputation. Ok, then for argument's sake, lets ignore the reputation factor. On performance, which starting SG in the Eastern Conference do you think has performed better so far?

Joe Johnson
Ray Allen
Gerald Henderson
Paul George
Jason Richardson
DeMar DeRozan
Ben Gordon
SJax
Rip Hamilton
Anthony Parker
Sundiata Gaines
Landry Fields
Jodie Meeks
Nick Young

Lets keep it to the basic PTS/REB/AST/ST/BLK/TO/%s stats and maybe team performance since that always seems to play a role, since those are what the average fan would look at.

Who do you have?

On that list I'd only take DeRozan and Allen. Joe Johnson isn't that great IMO. I watch him a lot and he just doesn't impress me. But Wade will be an All-Star no doubt.

Is this thread serious?

Wade will be an All-star for the next 4 years simply because his name is Dwyane Wade.

Also Wade is an icon in China, so he has like a million votes from there already

the all-star game is a popularity contest. It's why A.I got voted in when he barely average 10ppg. Tmac got a few nods as well that seem undeserving. Wade will be fine. He will probably even be voted a starter

I am confident Wade will get in, but the guy asking which 2 guard is more deserving is forgetting that it is 'two guards' - they can both be point guards.

I still think that doesn't worry Wade, but the other point guards outside of Derrick Rose are more impressive than the shooting guards.

Rajon Rondo
Deron Williams
John Wall

Actually, after writing that I don't know what I'm on about. All those dudes are on bottom feeder teams except Rondo (.500) and Rondo doesn't have the fans to beat Wade.

lol wade is a top 5 player in the NBA injured or not... this thread is equivalent to saying "Will lebron not make the allstar game?

Yeah.. it's that much of a reach.
