Thats really small tho, but I sorta like it.

Obviously it depends on matchups, but we could always use Greene or Hickson at PF instead. I thought Donte played very well tonight.

Thomas could be a nice sixth man but you certainly don't bench a player like Thornton for him, not a chance. Salmons could be an issue, him fitting in was quite contingent on him focusing on aspects of the game that aren't really his strong suit so hopefully he can be told what his role should be and adjust to it more effectively in time. I'd really like to see Garcia get the start a few times and see if his spot shooting comes back because out of all the SF's on this team, sans Honeycutt of course, he is the best "fit" on paper.

As said, this team just has to work way too hard to win. I mean, they just had to go 110% against the Raptors and won in a tight contest, good because it came off the backs of your two stars, but man, there has to be some greater picture that involves easy baskets. Hayes and Cousins are your source for those easy gets. This win tonight may have shown you what a team with Evans/Cousins can do in the playoffs though, gutting through and just flat out refusing to quit when your system has failed you.

I thought Perry and Terrance Jones were PF's.

Kidd-Gilchrist has been playing great tho.

That 3 spot is really holding this team back, we havent had a 3 this year that can make open shots or any shots constantly. Salmons has been the best of them but he tends to hit more shots while operating with the ball rather than taking feeds from the back court. We need to make a play for a guy like Gay (we should of went after him after Memphis was playing well without him) It maybe too late for that but we need to get a solid all around 3 in there to just complete this team. Granger would be another option too. I would be willing to package a draft pick + sf of their choice + Thompson or Hickson (we wont keep them both this offseason)

No way, you guys are bombing on Salmons because he's too shot hungry and you want to stick another guy in there that expects 20 shots a game? One interesting development to look for is the Batum situation in Portland. Now he would be a perfect SF for this team. Role player/defending spot shooter = THE guy. All shots go here: Evans, Thornton, Cousins. The Blazers are a little light in frontcourt depth and are relying on two guys near the age of 40 to play some major minutes, wonder if JT or Hickson might entice them to make a move now? If not, make a run at him this summer. In 3 years your SF rotation is Batum/Honeycutt and it's ideal all the way around. 8-)

I thought Salmons best traits were: spot up 3s & defending

He's not doing that.

Dang, I really wish Reke has a consistent set shot/spot 3 at the corner. I think he can be really good at them if he decides to only shoot 3s from there.

I give anything for Batum not naming Reke, Cuz, Thornton, maybe Jimmer. But I hope we can nab him in the summer!

Salmons being shot hungry wouldn't be a problem if he didn't also currently blow. He's not fitting in for the same reason many of us said he wouldn't fit in. He needs touches to be in rhythm for the rest of his game to fall into place. Instead he's forcing a few opportunities a game, and then missing open shots and his D hasn't been good enough.

But yeah, I'd be all for going after Batum. He'd be great here, and I'd give up anyone outside of our big 3 in a heartbeat.

I'd absolutely trade for Batum in a heartbeat if he's available. The perfect role playing SF for this team.

But Michael Kidd-Gilchrist would be pretty damn awesome, just saying.

Might not suck bad enough to land him.
