aldridge: young, talented big leading a winning team locked up long-term to a below market contract.

irving: strong chance he ends up rookie of the year. what's not to like about a potential 20ppg player in the first year of his first contract?

no disrespect to Kobe who still is a top 5 player in the game, but this is based on trade value, and I don't think Kobe would bring the same value as some of the young BIGS. Kobe is a hard person to trade I would think

Same as last 2 times (although I might have slept on Bosh more then needed):

Vote: Kobe
Nominate: Bogut

Horford's injury spared me from considering switching, and I think Wall is showing why putting Kyrie here is just too early.

Kobe
Bogut

No way I trade Kobe for LMA if I'm Lakers (even if there wasn't a positional problem by getting LMA)

I promise not to keep harping on this, but I really don't see how guys like Love and Aldridge are worth more than superstars (Kobe, Dirk). Youth isn't THAT important.

Kobe is due to make over $30 mil in 2013-14.

Yes, he brings in a lot of money in LA, but how many teams can afford that big a cap hit, and build a team around him at age 33? I think he has a lot of value to the Lakers, not as much to many other teams.

Disagree. I think if you gave teams the choice between:

a) the superstar who is still one of the top 5-8 players in the game and one of the biggest draws in the world, or
b) a good-to-very-good player and the appropriate amount of capspace

that most teams would still take a) most of the time. That's how I look at it, anyway.
