They said the scouting report on Donte is that he can shoot the ball.

Seeing Salmons play, i'm fully confident that Westfail wanted this team to fail.. the man practically demanded him to come this summer.

Re: Kings @ Houston
Tyreke is no longer the worst jump shooter on the team. That title now belongs to John Salmons.

Salmons had multiple of open looks at 3, but did not convert. But he thinks he can score off the dribble??

Re: Kings @ Houston
I hate to say it but Salmons and Cousins lost the game for us.
Salmons killed ball movement and looked only for his shot only. We lost all of the momentum when he was 1 v 5 every time he touched the ball.
Cousins never got his game going. Committed silly fouls and looked worse as the game continued. Good for Smart benching him most of the second half.
The Kings wasted Reke's production tonight. Dude was doing everything to keep his team afloat in the first (& parts of the second half) half.
We miss Thornton badly. Hayes too.

This is the first game Dalembert look like he gave a damn. Something must've happened during the offseason between him and Kings management.

He was suppose to sign with the Kings but GP withdrew at the last minute.

Re: Kings @ Houston
I was originally in favor of the Salmons trade, but I'm now on the amnesty bandwagon. He's the only guy out there at this point who doesn't look like he's even trying to share the ball. His isos, which he used be decent at, have become so stale and predictable that even Miss Cleo can see what's coming. Even when he doesn't have the ball, I've seen him run into our own players on offense like he's defending them. There's not a single thing he's doing any better or more consistently than any of the other SFs on this team. The only that distinguishes him is his crappy contract.
At some point, if it hasn't already, his piss poor play going to hurt moral, and moral is very important and fragile on a young team like ours.
I don't care where or how it's written, but the next news story I want to hear from the Kings is that they amnestied John Salmons.

Re: Kings @ Houston
And Cousins deserves some blame tonight, but as Jerry said after the 1st or 2nd quarter, he wasn't exactly put in ideal situations to succeed. Too often will everybody stand stationary around the perimeter and watch Cousins have to force a shot up. Other times the team will give him the ball when he's not in an ideal position, or when he's already in the process of being double-teamed, or when there's not much time left on the shot clock. Isaiah Thomas seems to understand how to help your big men, but I don't think that's true for the rest of the team.

Re: Kings @ Houston
I don't think Cousins was feeling well in this one. They mentioned after last game his chest felt like it was on fire and Smart said he was dealing with a nagging cough and they need to get anti-biotics in him. He just didn't look right from the start of this one on.
Yeah, Salmons just doesn't have it and as these games progress it looks like he just isn't the guy for that spot.

rumor says he was kind of sick, I did not hear anything about this during game, and dally made him look real bad.
as usual he did not get the ball much from teammates besides in the low post, think he would have done a better job facing dally in the high post offensively, for his game and opening up the key for teammates as well.

Didn't knew that about Cousins. I was stuck with the Rockets feed.
Their announcers seem good people but don't know what they are talking about. They thought our Zeke was the son of the REAL Zeke! haha

Bill Worrell, the guy who kept calling your Zeke the son of HOF Zeke, has been around for ages and is probably going to hang it up soon. Clyde Drexler is just not good on color commentary. Hopefully Matt Bullard takes over as color commentator full-time soon (he is really good).
Well, I was at the game last night and the reaction for Chuck Hayes was really incredible. I know that he's hurt now and you guys haven't had a chance to see a lot of him; but trust me: once you do then you'll see why the Houston fans still go nuts for the guy! He was getting as big a pop as Moses Malone & Calvin Murphy last night!

Re: Kings @ Houston
Well if he was sick, he was sick, but Cuz was pretty much the main reason we lost last night. With Marcus out, we just don't have the guns to win on the road unless both he and Tyreke are playing well.
And man, we could really use Sam right about now.
