Game 11: Cavs at Lakers | Fri, Jan 13th | 10:30 PM ET

Post#1 » by Rise Against » Fri Jan 13, 2012 7:03 am

Anyone remember when the Lakers killed us last year?.. The score was 112-57. And when they played us at the Q, we happened to beat them. I still remember Eyenga's slam over Gasol that game.

Anyways, it's good to see Mike Brown doing a good job with the Lakers so far.

I think this is the only meeting with them this year.

Btw, Kobe had 2 straight 40+ point games. It might be 3.

Oh and it's going to be Friday the 13th.. For those of you who believe in bad luck.

Our bigs have gotta show up today. Jamison is a major liability against Gasol. Then again... a loss couldn't hurt. :P

I expect Gasol and Bynum to abuse us the same way Jefferson and Millsap did in Utah. Let's just hope that we can slow down Kobe, and that our second unit can take advantage of LA's weak bench. Irving going against Fisher should be fun to watch as well.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

This should be an interesting game to see how Varejao and Tristin handle the Lakers' bigs after being manhandled by the Jazz. Whether the Cavs' bigs can step up is one of the big questions the team needs answered.

Also, the Cavs and Lakers should consider swapping DGibson for their 1st Rounder. That Lakers team needs outside shooters and Fisher and Blake have been pretty underwhelming at the PG position for them.

I have a feeling Irving burns the old slow Lakers PG rotation

Just fund watching this team right now. TT and Verejao needs to play together so we get a couple rebounds at least.
Gee starting soon? I'd like to see him guarding Kobe even though he's a SF.

I was at the Lakers vs Cavs game at the Q last year. Awesome game. Lakers fans all around talking smack and we got the last laugh

Killed on the boards as expected and their two bigs can do whatever thye want. A shame we couldn't take advantage against their terrible bench.

Irving is still putting on a show. He is a joy to watch. Some of his finishes are unbelievable. I figured if Millsap and Jefferson decimated us, this wouldn't be much better.

The boys played well tonight. Jamison's horrible chucking did not help matters at all. And it is overtly clear we need a 2 with handles and range. A Casspi/Parker starting combo makes me wanna watch Better Basketball video tapes for 12 hours on how to dribble.

How fun!

Great second half, really made the Lakers work for their win and that's a huge improvement for us. Had Antawn been a little bit more efficent we might have stolen this game. Anyway, great to see the fight in the team.
