Defense

Post#1 » by weasel » Sat Jan 14, 2012 4:39 pm

Just looking at our points against average, it's almost crazy how much better we are than last year. As of this morning there are only 3 teams in the Western Conf. that have a lower PA average than we do, and we have beat two of them. The teams ahead of us are the Lakers, Mavs and Hornets.

It's going to be crazy next season if we improve our offense which should be a given.

I'd go so far as to say offense is a bigger issue than defense right now. If we can improve our weak defensive rebounding and clean up the piles of turnovers, I dare say we might be a respectable defensive squad. That blatant refusal to defend out to the 3 point line that baffled us to no end last year seems to be a thing of the past.

Offense is a far bigger issue than Defense. Our offensive system is build on maybe 3 plays we run other than that it's improvisation and jacking up jump shots. Adelman even said so in interviews.

Agreed that offence is the bigger issue. And yeah, just giving Adelman and Ricky time will improve us on that side of the ball. Part of our Points Against improvement has got to be from us droppin our turnovers/game down to around 17.
