Whenever I watch Drummond, he looks lethargic out there. Not necessarily because of his motor but maybe his conditioning. Though I suppose the former has a lot to do with the latter. Too bad he doesn't have the explosiveness of Amare/Dwight, otherwise.. easily a number 1 pick. But regardless, I still keep him in the top 2. A. Davis is number one imo, but honestly I wouldn't be THAT ecstatic if we took him number one (Believe me though, I'd still be jumping on my bed on draft night if that happened). I don't see him as a Rose/Griff type pick is all. This draft is deeeeeep but there's no clear-cut franchise guys. It's hard to go wrong if you're picking in the lottery this year.

I gotta say even if we did nab MKG or something, it's still gonna sting to see guys like PJ3, Lamb, Quincy Miller go to another team...... Solution? multiple picks ;) Nah, really though. I think two lottery picks is just as valuable as a top 3 pick this year. (seriously, F*** the hornets and jazz :( )

I love the fact we're stashing Val in Europe. Imagine if we moved Bargs for a late lottery pick (the most realistic as this idea will get). So many possibilities..

Kabongo
Derozan
MKG
Amir
Val

or

FA PG
Derozan
MKG
Henson
Val

I know I'm a MKG fanboy but if we did have two lotto picks, I wouldn't give a shart who we picked up.

I see our pick as Harrison Barnes as of right now. Hes a guy who has fallen out of the top spot since coming out of high school, so he will most likely be had 3-6 in this draft by the time it roles around, but who says he still doesn't have the potential to live up to his old hype, in a new system, new coach, the bigstage, a chance to be a center piece and earn the big bucks. If hes on the board i think we pick him, because the BPA will be a toss up, he fills the void at SF , aswell as being a more proven scorer/shooter(than the other SF prospects) for instant gratification. I like the pick, right now hes my pick in the pole, can't say my opinion won't change though, i like other players in this draft but if we are going to win a lottery sometime soon i hope it will be next year.

Good to see my boy Q. Mill showing out today. he getting slept on crazy out here.

When this draft is said and done, I'm sure Q. Mill will be the best SF in this draft.

I get so hyped about him and then I see that knee injury come back at times through his lack of explosiveness. I think I need him to just hoopmixtape someone this season for me to be content.

He'll prolly get to do all those hoopmixtape moves next year if he decides to stay. Then he can just do whatever he wants with the offensive freedom he gets in absence of PJ3. Right now he won't get to do all those cos if he does that he'll get pull to the bench  otherwise, i don't think he can pull off any hoopmixtape moves without getting called for carrying, double-dribble or palming.

I really wonder how he would be doing if he was "the guy". I'm not gonna say he's Kevin Durant, but the similarities are obviously there. I just wish we got to make a legitimate comparison freshman to freshman.

Anyone see Kidd-Gilchrist's jab step for the three-point shot near the end? Looked sick with the elevation. And who said he can't create off the dribble? I've seen MKG plenty of times using one-two effective dribbles with his massive strides to get to the lane and is very efficient with his two steps to get around and past his defender for the lay-in.

At this point, I'd be happy with any one of Harrison Barnes, Jeremy Lamb, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Quincy Miller. I'm still waiting for Josiah Turner to come out and ball. Really high on him.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

I don't really care about Quincy Miller getting buckets per se, but I want to see the ball in Quincy's hand more often. It's clear he's got a knack for finding his teammates, so I'd like to see him in some pick-and-roll scenarios. With his 6'9" frame, he'll easily exploit defenses. As much as Scott Drew preaches sharing the basketball, he puts the ball in Pierre Jackson's hand who is an outright chucker. Really mind boggling.

One thing I will say is that Quincy's maturity has impressed me. Usually a big time high school recruit will want to come in and be the man or else. But Quincy has gladly taken 2nd, 3rd or even 4th fiddle on Baylor and filled the role perfectly.

Question?
If the Raptors would be lucky enough to get 1st either Davis or Drummond.
Would you trade it for NO 2 1sts?
Both should be in the 4 to 10 range?

he is our 2nd best player but the team has been so bad, he hasn't been able to stand out for outsiders to see. He will likely stay another year and be part of a top 5 team in the country.

Depends where Leonard and MKG/Barnes go. I'd take Leonard and Barnes/MKG over Davis. I'd do Leonard and Q Miller over Drummond. I'd take A Davis over Leonard and Q Miller. I wouldn't consider a draft not including one of Davis, Drummond, or Leonard

Not sure why you're so high on Leonard.

I would do it get either Barnes/MKG
Then trade last pick to Boston
Get Kabongo and someone like Jenkon/Buford/ Joseph
Get Sacre in 2nd

Nice Team

Jose/Kabongo/Bayless
DD/Buford/Weems
MKG/JJ/Klieza
Val/Amir/Sacre
Bargs/Davis

7 footer with star athleticism, shotblocking and while not an elite offensive prospect, has shown to make one think he can be developed into a go to option.

Am I talking about Davis, Drummond, Leonard, or all 3? Answer is all 3. IMO you take Leonard above the rest for the same reason you take Davis and Drummond over the rest.

I don't think BC would want 4 rookies (if we keep our 2nd rd'r) on the team next season.

It's tempting, but I don't think I'd ever live down passing up the opportunity to draft Anthony Davis. He's the next KG/Tim Duncan big man in the NBA imho. I think he'll have at least a couple of rings once he calls it quits.

The superstar hype for Anthony Davis, I just don't get. I've even seen my favorite poster on RealGM (Chocolate City Jordanaire on the Wizards board) say he thinks he's a Tim Duncan/KG+ in the making

What I don't see is the offense. I think he has 10 reb/2.5 blks a game potential on the defensive end and that probably makes him worthy of the #1 pick especially with a great attitude and the type that'd stay long term in Toronto... But I don't see how his offensive talent is any higher than Jonas Valanciunas'. He basically looks like Tyson Chandler and Joakim Noah on that end to me as a roll to the rim, good hands around the rim guy. I happen to like A Davis a lot more than Jonas just because the latter's athleticism standing out against NBA players worries me incredibly... but in both cases I'm guessing 14/10/2blks is the goal

My best guess is that Anthony Davis ends up the Andrew Bogut of this draft. Ends up a top 20 player and lower level franchise player because of his D, rebounding, and reasonable offense. It's a smart pick and a safe one at #1. But with the talent in this draft I'm taking the field over Davis easily for "Best player in this draft" if you gave me a guess. One of these guys is going to REALLY break out
