Hey its not so bad.. The Charlotte Bobcats Positives Thread

Post#1 » by Stun704 » Sat Jan 14, 2012 4:59 am

I know most of everyone is feeling negative about our season right now, but lets look at the bright side, we're finally tanking the right way in a sense where we're assured we're gonna get atleast a top 3 pick, so I feel like we should have a thread that discusses all the positives going around in the franchise right now, and how the future looks bright.. I'll start off by listing some positives

1) We have two for sure cornerstone pieces,
1A)Kemba has a legit scorer in this league, but needs to up his pure point skills, but I see the potential
1B) Biyombo has shown to be a monster weak-side defender, the potential is there to be an absolute monster on the defensive end, hes bigger then Big Ben so thats a positive, needs to spend a couple of offseasons with Hakeem

2)Byron Mullens- we may finally have a legit 5, and all we did was trade a 2nd rounder, I personally feel hes just as good as Brook Lopez

3)Gerald Henderson - shows flashes of being an above average sg, and may become elite one day, has improved his handles and 3pt shot

4) Attendance is up, despite being absolute crap and tanking for that top 3 pick, we had an 18,000 turnout for a lack luster match up with the pistons...

5) We will have a top 3 pick in a deep draft

6) We have cap flexibility going forward

7) We have some good possible trade pieces in DJ, DJ White, Diaw, Tyrus Thomas and Corey Maggette

8) We aren't trapped in mediocrity purgatory anymore

if you guys can list anymore positives go ahead, lets keep our heads up during this dark times and remember that we will more then likely get our first ever franchise player in june.

 We're overdue for this thread with all the doom and gloom going on.

Another positive would be that so far Cho's moves (Jax trade and Mullens trade) are looking like absolute steals.

In Cho I Trust.

on the plus side if Biyombo were to play 35 minuetes a game he would finish with at least 10 blocks... Also he would probably have more blocks then points..... by a long shot....

However after getting 5 blocks in 10 min against the pistons I think its safe to say that Biyombo is the best blocker in the NBA.... And perhaps will become one of the most feared post guardians of all time once he earns starter minuetes...

Another though on the bright side: At least we know how to tank properly!

I object. The rookies NEED to play around 25 minutes per game.

I agree. Since we are already in full tank mode, let the rookies play a little bit more. This is a shortened season and in 5 months we will already be drafting.

those two games against the Wizards next week are really important... we should start Higgins, Carroll and Diop...

actually I can't wait to see them, the way Washington plays is just too damn funny - their forced shots and lack of ball movement are incredible... I just wish that we're better tankers than they are, we should be able to win both games against that pathetic team... I hope we don't play our best.

Well, line up of Higgins - Carroll - Thomas - Brown - Diop would be awesome and would work to the goal. And that's positive. I would just wish Mexicat is healthy to replace Brown there. UPS rebounds way too much on offense.

Wizards are adorable. Those Grantland articles are a good laugh. I would just prefer VeselĂ˝ to be in better situation, for selfish homer reasons.
