I am not putting 100% blame on D'Antoni. That's too easy and lame.

The players have to man up and take responsibility. Amare has always played like this and maybe it's because he's been with Mike for most of his career but it's not an excuse.

Obviously I want D'Antoni fired but I want the next guy to be a strict ass defensive coach not named Mike Woodson (a worse version of D'Antoni) and I want that coach to decide if he wants Amare around next season.

I was stunned to read that. In fact I think the rookies play better defense then the vets. Sure they f'k up, but the vets don't ? Damn this fool.

At the end of the day, as Carmelo looks like to say, defense is going to win you a championship. Amar'e running out of the way any time anyone drives on him will not win us a championship. Amare seems to be mentally weak and cannot handle the pressure when the going gets tough. The going is tough right now and he continues to play like garbage on both ends. Amare is paid superstar money and the Knicks advertise him as one so naturally fans expect him to be one. He isn't, though. If I could trade Amare for Deron I would do it yesterday. I am tired of sticking up for Amare. I was signing his praises for a long time but it's clear to me he plays more for himself than the team.

This is a great post.

Watching some of these collapses is directly put on the coach, it's too easy, because it's true.

You're already admitting you want him fired, so you are ultimately putting it on him as well.

For the record Amar'e has not played like he has this season his whole career.

That's ridiculous.

Rarely will a coach have input in trading one of the top guys on the team.

Unless we get Phil, no other coach will have the power to get Amar'e traded.

That's not happening like that.

He's going to be blaming the ball boy's next. D'antoni never runs out of people to throw under the bus.

Agreed, that part was the funniest thing I've heard today.

Not surprised D'antoni would stoop to a new low.

lol @ anyone who thinks Baron Davis is the answer to our problems. While Baron makes us a better team, we have more problems than just a missing PG.

6'10' (or 6'11' ) athletic big man who has 4 blocked shots in 10 games. Hard to get blocks when you stand 5 feet back from jump shots and run out of the way when someone is driving to the basket.

He blames the rookies then assigns Baron Davis the responsibility of getting the team playing right.

He makes it sound like the goal is to survive until Baron comes back. Then its "we will see then"

With comments like that one would think he is going to try his "system" one last time with one last player. Like he is just living day to day until then. And he cannot see anything past it.

Its the wrong attitude. And its ironic what we see on the floor resembles that. Just wait. You know, ever sense this guy has taken over, its been about waiting.

This guy is not going to make it through the season.

Never underestimate the strength of knowledge.

Bring back the physical game and send the softies home.

D'antoni might be a good coach somewhere, but not here...He just isnt made for this team. Get him out of here and lets get going. We rely on the 3 in the big spots which ruin ANY momentum we get...We need to be a paint driven team and find the open man if we can with a heavy emphasis on defense. Instead we are a team who looks for the 3 ball first and then figure it out from there, with defense occasionally when we feel like it.

Amare not starting = Unicorn lineup

we lack depth and chemistry.

moving stat to the bench creates depth and he will fare better against bench players.

let him work pick and roll with lin, have floor spacing with walker, throw jordan, balkman, and douglas out there with stat.

+1 Lin's excellent at PNR and can get into the lane. Too bad it looks like the Knicks are giving up on him.

How do we switch on every pick n roll but still don't get up on there shooters? Isn't that the point of switching?

If we woulda played them straight up, let Chandler stay on Dwight, get up on there shooters I don't think we lose. Yet we let Ryan Anderson take 13 3's!!

Didn't Woodson play them straight up, let Dwight get his, and dominated the series in the playoffs last year?? Maybe he's trying to get D'Antoni fired...

Eh, why even bother....we never adjust on anything....

Sounds like you want us to get rid of Amare, not just Mike

I'm sorry how many championships did Oakley win? I do love how this whole losing streak is apparently all on amare. Shump goes ball hog, that's amare's fault. guards get lit up from three point range constantly, that's amares fault. Knicks place all their hopes for haviing a decent point guard on someone that won't even be available for a month, totally Amare's fault. Knicks stand around in the fourth and wait for anthony to create **** on his own? Also amare's fault. Maybe Amare should be blamed for the isaiah years as well.

I was at this game... We pretty much looked in control for most of the game, but you could tell we were slipping, especially in the 2nd half.... Anderson Turk and Reddick just kept making shots, you could see the wall slowly being chipped away at.

Fields looked awful live, as expected. TD with key bad shot late in game, as usual... Amare unacceptably getting himself in too much foul trouble.. We had **** line ups out there for long minutes at a time with both Melo and Stat on the bench as a result.

Jorts looked solid, and Tyson looked like he grabbed a bunch of boards.... Howard wasn't anything special to say the least, really a non factor..

Snatched this defeat from the jaws of victory... Definitely a game we should have and could have won.
