Kings @ Wolves (5PST)

Post#1 » by ADoaN17 » Mon Jan 16, 2012 9:22 pm

The Timberwolves will try to snap a three-game home losing streak on Monday night when the Kings look to rebound from one of the franchise's worst offensive performances.

The Kings (4-9) didn't have many answers for Dallas' defense Saturday and lost for the fourth time in five games, 99-60. It was the fewest points scored by the team since a 101-59 loss at Charlotte on Jan. 10, 1991.

The Timberwolves and Kings have alternated wins in their last seven matchups.

It should be fun watching a real pg in Rubio and seeing if the Kings can bounce back.

Rubio
Ridnour
Johnson
Love
Milicic

vs

Evans
Thornton
Salmons
Hickson

This is the game i've been waiting for. I really hope Rubio has a 25pt 15asst night tonight just to shove it in the kings face. He was the best thing for this franchise and city, and we let him slip through our hands for douche Tyreke. I really want Rubio to torch the kings badly.

I hope Tyreke shows why we picked him.. have a little faith huh... if we got people hitting open shots, makes everyone, tyreke moreso, look a lot better

The problem isn't that we picked Tyreke. The problem is that we've picked Tyreke and shoved him in at PG.

They have 5 minutes of my time, no more unless I see SOMETHING. Like cutting baseline and not just clearing out time and time again, hahaha.

Right! Its like he is the Devin Hester of Bball. Just let him do what he does. Dont make him something he is not.

That's doubtful.

Rubio is nice as a developing rookie who is being given big minutes right off and has SCORERS to pass to. But the fact is that so far he has looked good against smaller and slower defenders - which neither Tyreke nor Thornton is. Add to that of one or the other posts him or drives on him he will be in early and big foul trouble and won't see much floor time.

I'm more interested to see DMC vs. Love. As nice as Love has looked, he is NOT that great a post defender and neither he nor DeMarcus rely on pure athleticism to make their game go. Should be an interesting matchup.

Thornton passes up so many alley oop opportunities for his teammates. Instead he chooses to take every fast break to the basket himslef

Well, so far they are at least trying. When Cousins has the ball they are attempting to cut and he's looking for them. Good start so far. Now they need to use Cousins as a screener when he has the ball.

Great for this city?! If the Kings didnt draft Tyreke I highly doubt the Kings would even been in Sacramento right now.

Adelman attacking the Kings defense the exact way he should. That corner 3 is going to kill the Kings tonight if they don't start watching out for it.

Start missing things defensively and we lose our focus offensively. Get these guys re-focused, Smart.
