Wow what a typical NY homer upset that his team got schooled

That homer is a mod with over 50,000 posts.
I think I was arguing with him about a year ago wheather or not dwight is a liability on offense.

The funniest thing about all of it is that we got raped by the refs overall yet they still found time to argue about the officiating saying that dwight got too many calls in his favor and that the charge call on fields was a bad one.

No thanks.

I would have to consider this. Harper is quickly surpassing Clark anyways. Maybe the Raptors would have to throw in an aging vet like Aaron Gray or Jamaal Magloire, who is on a one year contract anyways to help this team for depth at Center.

That is awful. You are vastly, vastly over-rating Jose Calderon. He's a decent shooter who holds back on shooting to maintain his percentages, he's a "passer and creator" who hogs the ball an passes so that he gets the assist, not so that the offense flows, and he's a worse defender than Jameer, which is saying something.

Am i the only one that thinks that JJ should start...Obvious right? i know it's just one game starting but man he brought the same energy starting that he brings off the bench...He is just eclipsing J-Rich right now in almost every aspect in the game.....JJ is a better and more disciplined defender....JJ is a better shooter...JJ is a better ball-handler....JJ has a higher Basketball IQ....JJ is a better post-entry passer and passer overall.....JJ has a better intermediate game...

Try this at home kids...think about how JJ played tonight...didn't it seem like he got his points so easy? An easy 21 points within the flow of the offense and nothing forced..... i've seen J-Rich struggle...and i mean struggle to get his points at various times in this short season....Maybe it's time stan really looks at a change if J-Rich keeps being inconsistent.....

Played with little energy in the 1st and the refs disjointed the game with the one-sided calls that the Knicks were getting particularly Melo. Played much better in the 2nd half and incorporated a 2-3 zone in the final minutes of the 4th which confused the Knicks and exploited their inability to hit outside jumpshots.

Ryno and J.J. were outstanding tonight. Turk came through in the 4th (played bad for the first 3 quarters). Jameer and Duhon were average for the most part and Dwight was plagued with foul trouble so he didn't make much of a difference on the offensive end. Our bench as a whole played very well.

That about sums up my feelings about Calderon. He would not elevate this team.

Lets trade JRich for D. Stevenson strait up. He is a good defensive SG. He can come off the bench too.

Missed the game because I had to work.

Nice game for Redick and Anderson.

Many kudos for Howard who picked up 4 assists.....

SUNDAY'S WORST
Howard

Dwight Howard, Magic: Howard had one of the worst games in the past four seasons. Not just in his own career, but among all NBA players. According to Elias, Dwight became the first player in that span to foul out with fewer than 10 points and at least six turnovers. Luckily, the Orlando Magic were playing the New York Knicks.

i added this in the vest thread, but thought i'd bring it in here:

this team is just so much better with JJ on the court rather than JRich. the best thing about a Meer, JJ and current form Hedo on the court is that our problem with lacking someone drive inside doesn't matter anymore, as each of those guys shows the initiative to take the ball inside - and they generally create something of it too. JRich, despite all the "no threes" from earlier this season, is reverting back to form, and that really didn't take long.

also, we need to run a passing camp for our big men. on the few occasions we get both bigs in the post with the ball and the defense doubles on the ball, we never make the most of a wide open guy just a few feet away. if we got that down, this team would become dangerous on all fronts offensively. heck, i'd settle for a pass out to the wings for a quick dump in to the open man if the bigs weren't comfortable passing through 2 sets of arms.
