My pick. 49ers beat the Giants by a field goal. Scores won't go past the late 20's.

****, we're favored in this one? Lame. Can't wait to hear the media suck up to the Giants all week long for being the Packer killers.

BRING IT ON, G-MEN.

Giants 24 San Fran 20 in a tight affair that ends with Eli scoring the go ahead touchdown to end the game.

Brady vs Eli part 3, book it.

You take away the last 5 minutes of the SF/NO game and Alex Smith still had serious issues moving the ball with any kind of rhythm, against the same base defense for literally the whole game. Saints played man coverage and put 7-8 guys in the box every single down, even up to the end where if there was ever a time to play 2-deep that was it (and they didn't).

Not sure what to make of the game, but I can definitely see a 13-10 game.

17-14 Niners. Game of inept offense or great defense...depending on perspective.

I'm glad schwabby made this prediction. I can now step aside as your personal whipping boy. And I'll say this as politely as I can, skaterdude, get off my :censored:

cheers.

um...IDK. I don't want to vote against either of these teams. It will be a great game though, the last playoff matchup between the Giants and Niners was so good I would have paid money to seen it.

Niners worse loss this season was only by 10 points and that came from a defense much better than the Giants D. This game will be close.

If anyone wins this game 35-13 it would more likely be the 49ers than the Giants.

If the 49ers defense does to the Giants what it did to the Saints the Giants won't sniff 20 points.

The Niners defense pretty much had the Saints' record-setting offense under wraps for 3.5 quarters, before Drew Brees showed why he's a superstar. How exactly are Eli and the Giants going to do better?

The Giants' best chance is the 49ers offense falters like it did vs New Orleans in the first 3.5 quarters, and pray that Alex Smith doesn't morph into a Montana/Young hybrid again like the last 4 minutes of the NO game. That being, I predict the game repeats the score 27 - 20 in favor of the Niners like it did during the regular season.

I don't understand, you can say the same thing about the Giants defense. The Packers offense was every bit as good as the Saints.

i really dont get the giants, if they're gthis good then how come they lplay like such s hit in the regular sesaon?

their defense was ranked 25th in the league this year out of 30 teams and they're playing like an elite defensive team...

Yes, its completely palpable that the Giants shut down the Niners offense and win the game. They're a damn good, balanced team. I'm just responding to those predicting the Giants are going to go berserk offensively and score 35+ when Drew Brees and his offense couldn't do it. Niners' D is too good.
