Hi all,
Living in Australia I don't get to see the Bobcats play, we only get to watch the same teams play all the time i.e Lakers, Thunder, Dallas, Heat
I want to know:
1.) thoughts on Walker and Biyembo so far??
2.) after what you have seen would you have still selected them?
3.) Is it time to increase their minutes?
4.) have they met or exceeded your expectations?
5.) what do you see for their futures in the NBA?
thanks
Walker and Biyombo

1) I am pleased.
2) Probably unless I have complete hindsight and can see into the future and shizz.
3) Yep, Kemba is already getting his increased (starting now) and Biz should be seeing 20 a game soon.
4) Kemba has met, Biz has greatly exceeded (mostly b/c I'd only seen him in that HS all star game).
5) I see Kemba as a sort of Mo Williams type scorer with better handles, like a mini-Jason Terry and Biz should be a defensive foundation for years, the dude can hold his own against Dwight Howard NOW, 'nuff said.
You're welcome, mate, G'day!

1)extremely pleased, Walker has shown better PG skills then expected, and BIyombo is improving every game, he just posted a double double against dwight with 4 blocks
2)Yes I still would have
3) Yes it is we need to trade DJ and start Kemba at PG, Bismack IMO should be starting by the end of the season
4)see 1
5)I see Kemba as an Isaiah Thomas type PG, and Bismack being a Dwight Howard type defensive monster, if he can work on his offense with Hakeem is potential is enormous

Re: Walker and Biyombo
first impressions of each
kemba
- better defender than i expected
- worse mid range jumper than i expected
- chucking, passing, handles, quickness about what i expected
- not as good at getting to the line than i expected
overall, slightly, just slightly disappointed, but still expect good things, but not great things.
biz
- better defensive awareness than i expected
- better shot blocker than i expected
- not as good of a rebounder as i expected (at least based on what we have seen so far)
- a little more raw than i expected on offense
- hustle better than expected
overall slightly, just slightly better than i expected
i think my expectations for kemba were a tad too high and my expectations for biz were a tad too low. both guys showing they can be solid starters in a year or two. neither guy yet showing they can be a star one day.

Re: Walker and Biyombo
Ok I must first say that I had huge expectations for both so meeting my expectations was almost impossible for them.
Kemba:
-short, I didn't thought it would bother him all that much but its clear that he has problems when he comes into the paint and constantly meets 7 footers
-confidence. He needs to build up his confidence I saw him bricking shots and floaters that he should make. Its clear he needs to adjust his game a little now that he is in the big league
-handles, crossover are as good as advertised, can get by almost everyone, just needs to learn how to finish once he does
-as few mentioned before I must say I'm impressed with his D. He is a pesky defender and quick as hell. Some opponents overpower him but you wont see him outrun. That said he still takes possessions off and looks lost from time to time when the opposing team moves the ball around quickly.
-Also he has enough PG skills to set up his teammates. He could be a legit floor general, there were some concerns about him being a SG in PGs body but that is not the case
Biyombo:
I didn't get to see him dominate last game
- bad hands, Biyombo has extremely long arms which cause him to be a bit slower when it comes to catching the ball. This is evident both on offense and rebounding where he gets solid positioning but is unable to catch the ball.
- Bad offensive game, his offensive game is as bad as advertised, he should stop trying to score one on one and start learning how to become a threat on Orebounds and how to be in a good position for dunks when his man goes to help
-strong, Biyombo is already strong enough to battle most of the bigs in the NBA and will only get stronger
-Defensively he is real good, doesn't have the sme problem that most shot blockers do which is biting on fakes, he shows patience and devotion to playing excellent D
All in all I say rookies are on par with my expectations. Maybe Kemba could do better. But I still think that this was by far our best draft in history and both rookies are cornerstones for Charlotte franchise

I noticed it as well, Bismack has really bad hands. Kwame Brown, Pussyfoot like.

Of course at only 19 he could still be adjusting to the nba level passing he is receiving. Coordination still developing. His hands didn't look bad at all last night.
