So I was at the Milton Celebrity Sport Auction Dinner last night. Met Jesse Barfield. Cool guy.

He told a story to the crowd of throwing out Rod Carew at 3rd base once. Something about Carew injuring himself because he wasn't expecting the throw to come in. So I googled to look up the game and I found this website.

Is this a known, legit site? You can watch an animated version of full games. Here's an example.

Only problem is I can't find proof of Jesse's story. hmmm...

The graphics are right up there with the old Earl Weaver Baseball I played on my Amiga.

Under Greatest Games, there's a 1993 tilt between the Jays and Brewers.

This was the last home game for the Brewers of the 1993 season and it turned out to be Robin Yount's last game at County Stadium. Yount scored a run and threw out a runner trying to advance to third base. Paul Molitor received both applause and a few boos with his first plate appearance and ended up with two doubles and a triple helping the Blue Jays come from behind to win the game 9-6. The Blue Jays went on to win the World Series the next month and Molitor got the MVP award. A skunk somehow ended up in the outfield at one point causing a brief delay.

If you run the sim, does the work skunk pop up in the OF at one point?

That is a cool website. Thanks.

I feel like a terrible fan because I did not know we scored 3 runs in the 1st inning and Alomar batted 6th in that game. We were stacked by the end of that season.

Bottom of the 7th inning. Carew doubles to lead off and then is thrown out at third by Barfield on the next at-bat.

Just saw the bottom of the 9th from 1993 and giggled like a little girl after it happened.

You got it!! Jesse said how Carew got injured and was out of the lineup the next day, and how Carew's replacement thanked Jesse for it. lol Big laughs from the crowd.
