Dwight also gets 1.5 steals per game. Obviously they bought change a lot of shots while Dwight is the King of that. And all that energy Dwight puts in to being the best defensive player in the NBA he still scores 20 per game at near 60% shooting every year as their go to option.
You also don't realize that DJ is not #1,#2#3 or even #4 on offense. His points are off of put backs and alley oops, of course he's not gonna get 20ppg, but i do expect a 10ppg/10rpg/3bpg. d12 has no choice but to avg those numbers, the team is either live and die by the 3 OR feed d12.
I'd rather have him avg 6 Offensive rebounds than 8 defensive rebounds. You also don't factor in that we have 2 GREAT rebounders, even though it doesn't go to DJ, it goes to Blake or vice versa, vs dwight contending with who? Don't get me wrong, d12 is a tremendous rebounder, but we have 2 people that can rebound as good as him.
DJ Does change a lot of shots, do you remember the portland game they won when they placed him on aldridge?
My point is, d12 is a great player, but not even close to what our team needs. We know that d12 doesn't want to come to the clippers, and that's fine... but we were making points as to why it would be a bad/unnecessary trade which i believe i've done
