Finding Beasley Trade Partners?

I'd like to explore some ideas surrounding a Beasley trade. I probably wouldn't want to see it happen until the trade deadline, when Beasley can recoup some trade value.

Some of the characteristics we need to look for are:

1. A need for scoring, or scoring off the bench.

2. SF or PF need.

3. An interest in exploring re-signing Beasley to a new contract.

4. Maybe not risk averse.

The Suns seem like they might fit, and I recently saw Beasley's name included in one of their trade proposals (a rarity from anyone on the Trade Board these days!). Who else might be interested in Beasley?

One of the interesting things about Beasley's less than inspiring play is that it probably won't cost that much to resign him. What do you think his value is on the free market right now? $5 mil/yr? $7 mil?

One reason to trade him is that I worry about his ankles long term. I would like to see him play 30 games straight without getting hurt before resigning him here.

i don't like henderson or diaw.

i'd like to give beasley one last chance to turn in around. give him until the deadline.

I agree. I wouldn't mind extending him right now, at 3 years for $21 mil. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think he still has the potential to be a star, and even if he isn't, he can be a damn fine scorer that can get off his own shot.

Right now Beasley's trade value is slightly above zero, but I'd like to know which teams you could see Beasley fitting in on. Thanks for those that posted ideas

His qualifying offer is 8.17 million, and if he doesn't play well enough to warrant a long term deal starting at more than that, my money is on him just playing for the qualifying offer next year.

Nets. Perfect fit for Beasley. They need help at F, and Kris might get traded or not resign (on 1 year deal). Style of play for the offense, and paired with Deron makes a perfect fit.

Wolves need to trade Beasley for Morrow or Brooks. I prefer Brooks (should have just drafted him), but his value may be too high right now.

Edit: if the Nets and Howard trade goes down, Wolves should jump in as third team (as rumored needed to pull off such a trade) and land Brooks (or minimum Morrow).

By that logic, a great thing about Wes' craptacular play is that it will cost us $0 to extend him.

Beas has underachieved. Wes has flailed about with near incompetence.

Beasley for Morrow
Beasley/Ellington for Lopez/Dudley

I like the idea of Morrow since he is signed to a long term deal already, but I really have no idea on how he plays other then an insane 3pt pct. Scouting report please? Is he just a spot up guy or can he drive the lane as well?

I haven't seen too much of him either but you're right, his percentage from downtown along with his natural position (two guard) would be welcomed on this team. I don't really know what Beasley has for trade value besides having a lot of offensive talent and he could be an expiring contract.
