Danny Green

Post#1 » by Nolan » Mon Jan 9, 2012 8:56 pm

How about this guy? He's been amazing through 9 games and with Manu's injury I could see him stepping into the starting lineup very soon and keeping up his stelar play.

He hasn't just been doing it on the offensive end either, he's been amazing on the defense and he's looking like that lock down wing defender we've been missing since Bowen retired.

That's what I think we were kind of keeping him around for and to see if he can emerge as that type of wing-man for us - looking like that's coming true

I knew though given a chance over a season, he'd be able to prove his worth in the NBA.

I'm glad we gave Danny Green a chance to play meaningful minutes and he's responding. He appears to have grown into his role in the NBA and I hope we offer him a longer contract.

I was disappointed when Cleveland let Danny go. I thought he had the skill set to succeed in the league, but he just needed some time to get comfortable. Playing under Pops is probably the best thing that could have happened to him.

Question is where does he fit though when everyone is healthy.

With the way he's been playing i'm sure Pops will find a way to get him minutes. I think once Manu gets back we'll see Pops resting RJ more and giving Green and Leonard more mintues.

Well, from the looks of it, Pop doesn't exactly use Green at SF at all. So it's looking like the SF rotation is RJ and Leonard.

Ya he's mostly using him at the 2 but i'm sure once we get healthy Green's going to see more minutes at the 3.
