^^ Maybe the guy knows something that we all don't... :D

I'm kinda optimistic myself as well. I just want to see how this season plays out. Nothing is guaranteed in life including professional sports. Just need to keep winning and playing hard.

Nice idea, may need to add a pick or Liggins to make that happen. A nice young PG with starting experience.

Better yet, do a JRich, Clark and Duhon for Flynn, Thabeet & CLee

I want to see Meer go. He just doesn't fit this team.

I would be willing to do:

Meer, JRich, Clark and next years 1st rounder

for

Maggette and DJ Augustine

Kemba is ready to take his spot and Meer can back him up and start if needed. They get a big they are desperate for and a legit starting SG to play alongside Gerald.

or offer them in a 3 team for OJ Mayo

or offer them in a deal for Andre Miller and Harrington

Gotta take some trash back to unload these guys.

I would try to pull off...

Nelson/JRich/Clark/Liggins

for

Mayo/Conley

Outgoing Salary: $14.8 million (roughly)

Incoming Salary: $12.2 million (roughly)

Then maybe a Duhon/QRich/Harper for Flynn/Hill

Conley/Flynn/Hughes
JJ/Mayo
Turk/Wafer
Anderson/BBD
Howard/Hill/Orton

Jazz are shopping Devin Harris, should we bite?

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

I would at least give them a call... and try to get Jefferson while we're at it.

Edit: where did you get this from by the way?

Saw it on the GB, Stein reported Jazz are shopping him, he's not having a good year but he seems like the type of guy that is more suited on a good team

I would love Jefferson, it would allow Dwight to focus more on rebounding and defense. Move Anderson while his value is high?

I would definitely try, but what would we give them? they'd probably be interested in JJ, but other than him, i don't see who they would take. they already have 2 PFs that are probably better than Anderson, and i don't think they'd take Meer... but you never know.

Ridnour? MIN front office says they'll roll with three PG's in the shortened season, but with JJ Barea back, they may find the lack of minutes frustrating.

God help us... the trade machine is back online http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine

They've been updating it for the past few weeks

Devin Harris huh? He's not having a good year but maybe a change in team and system could work well for him....From what i've seen he is a push the pace type of PG...One of the faster PG's in the game and has good size at 6"3....Head to Head vs Jameer they have roughly the same stats...don't know the percentages though but they have the basically the same stats but Harris plays about 5 less minutes....Harris's game has somewhat changed from the score first PG he used to be into more of a distributor who can score...That could work with this team....

It may make sense basketball wise but man...We send Jameer off to get a bigger younger version of himself? And what really is Harris worth even though he isn't having a good year? what do we send?

Edit:Actually i just tried it on trade machine for kicks and we can send Jameer for Harris straight up

The trade deadline isn't until March 15, but for now there's no momentum on a deal between the Lakers and Magic.

However, one person in the Lakers' organization has been talking to Howard.

Kobe Bryant has had at least one in-depth phone conversation with Howard recently, even discussing how Howard might fit in with the Lakers' scheme.

One person with knowledge of the conversation said Howard came away feeling as if he wouldn't be the Lakers' top option, for obvious reasons. It's Bryant's team.

I wonder if he honestly thought any otherwise?

If he did, then he really is getting advice from the wrong people. Any one of us could have told him that.

Let's be honest. The Celtics are going to need to rebuild. I wonder if they would be interested in doing something like this.....Ainge has certainly hinted at blowing up the team this year, and it's not secret either that he has been shopping Rondo a bit...

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=7wnpgpk

They are going to need to replace both KG and Ray after this year. I couldn't think of two more similar young pieces to do that with than JJ and Ryan. Yes, KG is a much better defender than Ryan, but Ryan has become a much better scorer and even rebounder at this point in his career. JJ has a very similar game to Ray. They get to replace their PG spot with Jameer, while not locking themselves long-term into a contract as they start the re-build process.

We get a real, maybe best "real" PG in the league today in Rondo, somebody with amazing court vision, and a very young one at that, who can, along with Dwight be the future duo of the franchise. We also get to finally get back a legit backup C in O'Neal.

Lineup would be:

Rondo/Duhon
JRich/Wafer
Hedo/Q
BBD/Harper
Dwight/ONeal

I actually absolutely LOVE how that lineup pieces together....in fact in reminds me of a younger past few years' Celtics team.
