:o :o   :-? :-? Trade Checker 5996499 The trade with Diaw and Henderson for Beasley and Wesley Johnson works. Basically we are getting 2 previous top 5 draft picks for a previous 10.
IF Silas can control Beasley(he couldn't Jax) we could have a solid starter at 3 for years to come.
IF NOT, Beasley will hurt us and we will be saddled with him till his contract is up. Diaws contract is up this year and then we can go after what ever FA we can afford to replace his salary spot.
Wesley Johnson also has 3 years left on his contract. Even though he was the 2010 Big East player of the year and is 6"7", He is not the 2 guard Hendo is defense or offense. With Rwill signed for 2 years and coming back off IR in late Feb 2012, this is too big of a risk..

How about Diaw for a top 59 protected 2nd round pick? I'll let anyone take him for nothing. Him, Diop, Carroll, Maggette, Najera. They are not assets, they are albatrosses. I would trade a 2nd rounder along with them for someone to take them. They need to go.

We possibly could get SOMETHING for TT or Maggette. But just for the cap savings, I would take anything for them. As long as it's expiring or picks.

I would rather cut everyone not named DJA, Kemba, Hendo, Bismack, Mullens, and DJ White. UPS can stay too, because he's hungry. I would fill the roster with hungry young DLeaguers and give them an opportunity. Maybe we find a gem.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

I saw this thread title and thought "Charlotte is actually going to ask Diaw to post up on the low block?" Then I clicked the thread thinking "there's no way - it'll ruin his chances of setting the NBA record for fewest free throw attempts per minute per inch (FTAPMPI - it's a new stat).

sorry to burst your bubble but TT and Maggete aren't worth more than Diaw. Diaw probably has more worth than both of them combined because of his contract and talentwise. you find plenty of players like Tyrus in the D-league and you only have to pay them the minimum.

:( :( :o :o Diaw has value off the bench for some NBA team this year because he has shown in the past and this season the ability to put up a double double and fill up the stat sheets. The problem is that he is not a starter because he is not consistent.Well, He doesn't have to be a double /double player every night if he is coming off the bench behind the right players.

The fact that he is an expiring contract makes him attractive to a team like Dallas that have players on IR,expiring/retiring veterans contracts to replace next year, and need bench help now to repeat as Champions.

I also think western conference teams like Houston and New Orleans would like to have his expiring contract.
Houston for rebuilding and NOH for cash on the balance sheet.
